Description

Welcome to the first of many build to come. TO start things off this is the first ive built in years and i only needed it for light to medium gaming. WIth that out of the way lets get to part selection.

CPU- At the time of purchase it was $65 and it does really well to my surprise. I've overclocked it to 4.4 GHz and it doesn't complain. I'm happy with how it does, and until i get my 4690k this June, it will work just fine.

CPU Cooler - Basically a Hyper 212 EVO just with a little more suck.

MoBo - Again, cheaper at the time of purchase and I've loved MSI products. Overclock and BIOS is wonderful and easy to use.

RAM - It's RAM, what can i say? Heat spreaders are nice.

HDD - Seagate 1Tb. Again not much to say. Got it on sale for $35 so i couldn't say no.

GPU - A 750ti is more than i need until Pascal comes out. I'ts just a place holder i got off newegg for 105

H21 - There is alwasy one downside to every build, for mine it is this case. There is literally no room for cables behind the motherboard tray, so i had to ziptie them behind my optical drive. I definantly want to replace it with probbaly the corsair Carbide Spec-0

The PSU... yes its a CX. Yes, it sucks. Does it work? Yes. Do i want it gone? Also a yes.

Fans - I love these fans. Bright LED's and they move air nicely. Plus they look pretty

Cx430 isn't AS bad As the rest of the cx lineup but I would probably still replace it...

It runs ARK Survival at around 35-40fps on medium so I'm happy.

And yes, android phone photos work nicely for my needs.

Corsair does not bother me, I have the exact same PSU and it gives me no issues. The GPU is a steal, and the 860K is basically the only AMD worth buying these days. +1

Thanks! The psu has served me well and I've seen nothing wrong with it. But I'd like to just switch to a more reliable PSU like a G2 or something fully modular

Personally I'd recommend EVGA or Cooler Master. Cooler Master's last the longest Iv'e heard, and I know from experience that EVGA is reliable. Hope you have a great time gaming!

How's that MB taking that CPU OC after this time? Still chugging? My girlfriend has it and I'm thinking of grabbing a nice new cooler and OCing it
