I have never had a personal desktop computer, let alone build one, but my friend convinced me to do it. All of the parts were recommended to me. Let me know what you think.

It's pretty good. You will want to manage those cables a bit to improve airflow. Is that a SSD unmounted I see? Lol. I'd say you did a great job for your first build, let alone your first desktop. Welcome to the PC world. Hows the 1060 treating ya?

Good build, but you need to change a few things. First thing I noticed is that you are running your ram in single channel mode instead of dual channel mode. You need to put your ram in slots 1 & 3 or slots 2 & 4. Secondly, you might want to flip your PSU so that it's pulling air from the bottom of your case and not from the video card. Thirdly, you should screw your SSD in your hard drive cage. Last but not least, you need to do some cable management; tie your cables behind the motherboard tray and hide them from plain sight to give it a more clean look and provide better air flow.

Hey good job man! The only concerns i have with this build is the power supply orientation. Usually you want that fan pointing down and out of the bottom of your case instead of blowing hot air up and inwards. Also you want to have your ram cartridges 1 slot apart from each other to utilize the dual-channel ram capabilities of your Motherboard. one in the leftmost slot, and one in the 3rd slot. Also you might want to get another intake fan eventually so you have a little more intake. If you want to upgrade eventually, i would go with a newer gen i5 or a newer motherboard, but this build overall looks nice and that case is beautiful. Hope you enjoy your time on the new desktop! _^
