Description

I recently rebuilt my gaming PC in a new Corsair 750D. Originally I had a Vengeance C70, but I wanted to upgrade to the 750D as a learning experience and to have more space to play with in the future because the C70 is only mid-tower.

According to 3DMark, this PC is better than 63% of all results (7412), which is good enough for me.

I'm going to buy more zip ties and re do my cable management, so excuse the mess it is right now.

It's hard to see, but if you look very closely at my GPU (pictures 10 and 11), you can see that it is sagging a little bit because of its weight and all the hours of heat it has endured. Such an impressive card though, love my 770.

Anyways, constructive criticism is more than welcome!

Update: Got an 970 for Christmas! Added new pictures. 3DMark Fire Strike score is 10090 - better than 76% of results. That is with no overclock whatsoever on the 4770. I will be doing some more benchmarks with an overclock soon.

By the way, that fan you see in the pictures that is mounted at the very bottom of the case was just an experiment and I removed it. I guess I forgot that hot air rises and cold air sinks.

Part Reviews

Motherboard

Excellent motherboard.

Gigabyte's DualBIOS feature (which I was unaware of until this day) saved my butt the other day when I made a dumb mistake trying to overclock and couldn't boot because of a machine check error. So I fiddled with the switches and I accidentally switched to the backup BIOS and was able to boot up on default settings. I downloaded a fresh BIOS from Gigabyte and then re-flashed the main BIOS. If it weren't for that feature though, I would've been without a computer for a while, so kudos to them for that great feature.

I don't have any criticisms for this board. It has served me well for two years now. I am giving it four stars because $300 seems to be a little bit too much.

Case

So much space, easy cable management, huge window, very solid.

Only bad things I can say are that the window and front brushed aluminum panel both get visibly dirty very easily.

Power Supply

No complaints. Two years of almost daily use and no problems whatsoever.

Keyboard

Spilled 2 drinks into this and still works like a charm after a year of near-daily use.
