Description

I decided to build a computer a couple months ago which could run new games on a maxed out setting. After using a $350 laptop for the last 3-4 years, it was time for a change. I was on a moderately tight budget so the parts which where picked were picked with that thought in mind.

CPU- Very happy with this chip. In my opinion, I find that the Amd fx-series vishera cpu's are underrated. It was a good choice as it was relatively cheap and performs well. I have not overclocked yet but am planning to in the future.

Motherboard- Pretty plan, but gets the job done. Love the bios and how it's laid out.

GPU- Very impressed with this graphics card. It is highly recommended by many for this price range and for a good reason.

Case- If there would be one thing to change in this build, it would be the case. It didn't offer what I thought it could in terms of cable management. Other then that small complaint, everything else was awesome with this case and I love the look of it.

Overall, with this being the first computer that I have build, I am very happy with the result. It can run every game I am currently playing (Skyrim, TF2, Diablo 3, Chivalry) with a high frame rate and no slowdowns or complications. I recommend all of these parts for someone who is looking to build a computer with a budget.

It's a good build, but the 500GB is limiting, especially when OS + first few downloads and installs take up almost 150GB. The 970 chipset on your motherboard doesn't let the FX series of CPUs show their full potential. Beyond that, your build is very well balanced. The CPU will in no way bottleneck your GPU and vice versa. For the price it's saying you paid on the case, there were better options, but it is a very good case for those building for the first time.

Thanks for the feedback. Ya I do agree 500GB is pretty small, almost wish I went for 1TB just to be safe.

I didn't spend that much on the case either, it was closer to $45.

While you playing games, I think it would be overheat. Since there's only 2 fan in there. What's you experience with it so far?

It's been fine with two fans, no problems at all. I've still yet to measure the cpu's temperature under load though.

The netgear N150 you using, did you had any problem with it so far like drop in connection or something?

Nope, its worked great so far. The odd time it has trouble initially connecting on startup but i've never had trouble with it dropping a connection.
