Description

Built and designed for gaming. I have no complaints about any components used for this build. Every piece integrates well together, and it has had zero issues so far. I absolutely love the silent case fans NZXT offers with this full tower case, and it's paired perfectly with their Kraken X72 CPU Liquid Cooler. The 3 fan FTW3 edition RTX EVGA 2080Ti has more than enough power to ensure maxed ULTRA settings on any modern PC Game (especially Red Dead Redemption 2, which had many complaints for standard builds not running well). This is also in part with the Samsung 970 Evo Plus M.2 SSD that delivers insane performance and ultra fast download speeds. I am currently using a 1TB to provide OS and game storage, and saving to add a 2TB in the future. I have zero interest in using any other storage drive due to the speeds these M.2's provide.

Nice PC buddy. I would like to know why you chose the i7 9700K instead of a Ryzen 7 3700X. I am in the process of buying a new gaming PC and can't seem to choose.

Thank you! I had made my mind up early that this will be an Intel build, regardless of cost, and I designed around a motherboard of interest. I also went i7 instead of i9 purposely, because the specs were too close to the same for the money. I know AMD has been introducing new processors with many more cores, but I had to look at what I wanted the PC for. I don't work for NASA, or do unbelievable video editing while multitasking with Adobe Photoshop and CAD software at the same time. I just want to run ANY modern game with the highest specs possible. This arrangement has granted me that. From earlier research before the build, it somewhat seemed that AMD was more designed for budget, while Intel was quality.

I don't think you can go wrong with either, but I will say that if you are building for gaming, absolutely go with an M.2 SSD for installing games on (and even OS). I can't vouch enough for the insane speeds, and I think that goes hand in hand with the CPU and GPU to provide seamless gaming. Also, try to get no less than 32GB ram. With this combination, all games will run smooth. The FTW edition 2080Ti is well worth the money as well (look at getting the highest VRAM on any other card if you don't want to go with the FTW 2080Ti).
