Bad Juju was a spur-of-the-moment decision.
I wanted to get back into PC gaming. [SUCCESS]
I built this rig to play games -- CS:GO, GTAV, BF4, Skyrim, Crysis 3, GMod, Mass Effect, and whatever upcoming titles I feel like playing -- at high graphical settings and FPS. [SUCCESS]
I play BF4, GTAV, and Crysis 3 at top settings in 60FPS with no problems at all. Sometimes I open the side of the case to aid in GPU cooling, but it's not necessary (see below). I have overclocked the i5-6600K in here, but have recently set it back to stock speed. There's not really a reason to OC this proc right now, in this build, for my needs.
Planned upgrades: -[PSU] RM650 fully-modular PSU from Corsair because I have a buttload of extra cables hanging around under the MBU tray.
-[FAN] 80mm Antec blue LED exhaust fan (http://www.amazon.com/Antec-TriCool-80mm-Blue-LED/dp/B00066FH1U?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00) for the top of the case to aid in cooling the fat GPU. The primary exhaust fan is sucking air out of the radiator and out of the case, this one will aid the work that one does so splendidly.
-[MONITOR] I want to get a bigger, possibly higher refresh rate monitor. This one already has a 1ms response time and I love playing in 1080. Depending on prices when I get sick of this monitor, I'll upgrade to something with 2K or 4K resolution. Not really interested in multi-display. But the curved monitors seem cool.
This computer had a lot of quirks in the build stage -- I was out of practice and unfamiliar with the layout of this tiny case. It has been a labor of love and is paying off so well. I set out with this case to stay away from 'mainstream' cases like the Corsair 540 and other similar size cases.
Let me know your thoughts below!
Best gaming proc for the money currently, in my opinion (duh). If you want to save more, go with the non-K version.
Tiny, powerful MBU. Great for small builds. Comes with many features for a small board.
Tiny case, sexy looks. It's a puny case with a horizontal MBU layout. If you're afraid of that, leave this case now. This is a challenge-level case to build in -- for some people. The more time you spend with this little lady, the more you'll love her.
It does its job.
Buy 3, have no regrets. Best 60hz/1ms monitor out there for the money. Perfect for 1080 gaming on a small desk.
