Description

Portable development workstation. Occasionally carrying it between two office locations.

At the time of build (Feb-2019) it seemed that every known SFF case was of stock or with a few month preorder wait time. This case was sourced from a local one-man manufacturer at a rather competitive price and by a fluke it was the last piece and it was in stock.

On the assembly photo the RAM is different from what is currently installed. At that time the max capacity DDR4 modules were 16GB per stick. Higher density 32GB modules started to appear much later, around Aug-2019. So I've decided to give it a try and this corsair kit works without problems. Also tested it on another system (X99 with Xeon v4) and also didn't have problems whatsoever.

When it was released - that was correct. Today there are these new 32gb modules, which work totally fine on even older motherboards, like x99
