After the death of a friends gaming rig, he decided it was time for an upgrade. Having no experience with pc building, he asked me if I could do the honors and put together a part list that could handle anything he would paly at max settings. I did my best to deliver.
We decided on Intel's flagship skylake processor, with an NZXT Kraken x62 to give us some overclocking headroom.
The Z170-A motherboard form Asus fit our blue and white color scheme, gave us overclocking ability, and just looked downright sexy.
Using a Samsung 850 EVO serieres 250GB SSD for our operating system and some games, we get some nice boot items to go along with our performance.
With 16gb of ram of Corsair Dominator Platinum running in dual channel, this thing has all the memory it will ever need, with upgrade room if that ever changes.
For our graphics card we went with the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 ti for unrivaled preformance, beautiful LEDs and a sweet look to match the color scheme.
Then we stuffed it all into NZXT's beautiful Noctis 450, which not only looks great, but was a pleasure to build in with wonderful cable management and great look.
Overall the build was a complete success. The build does everything requested and more, getting 75-100 frames in games like Rust and Squad.

Great Processor. Processes my stuff, DDR4, overclocks niceley
Keeps the good overclocker from catching on fire
Nice color, plenty of tricks and features, nice BIOS. Overall good board!
Works as advertised, not as fast as I'd like it to be.
Stores stuff, wasn't broken.
Great preformace, stays frosty.
Oh My God This case is FANTASTIC! Great cable management, good build quality, and the blue LEDs give great accent to any blue and white build. Great airflow with a useful fan controller, and FOUR preinstalled fans. Wonderful quality from NZXT as always. 11/10
Does everything its supposed to. Nothing exceptional with no remarkable fires as of yet.
