Description

As a 15 year old with zero patience, who had only started their first job a month ago and also had not earned all that much yet. So I came to the conclusion that I would get a decent computer that i can have fun upgrading down the line but had a reasonably low starting price.

CPU & Motherboard: Both perform quite well for the amazing price of $0 (was gifted to me from a friends old pc). I intend on changing Motherboard and CPU for a 4690k and a matching Motherboard.

RAM: Another gift for $0 I intend on swapping that out for 8GB of ram quite quickly.

SSD: Bought it off my brother for $5 performs really well, I intend on adding a 1TB HDD when I add the ram.

Case: Nice Cable management, I really like the look of it. Only thing is it has a turbo button which I have no idea what it does.

PSU: Will do for know, ACBEL apparently makes the Cooler Master PSU's so we wil see how it does. I probably would have gotten a more well known brand but this was all my local store had in stock.

Operating System: It was free because it was already on the SSD

Great build! +1. I really love the OS since I think it will also get the Windows 10 upgrade (correct me if I'm wrong). I'm thinking the turbo button might have something to do with the fans, but it depends how they're wired.

Thanks, and yeah it will get the upgrade to Windows 10. Also I found out the turbo button speeds up the supplied case fan.

What make you choose the 7970 over a newer generation 280x?

Mainly the price, because living in Australia parts are quite expensive, and this only cost me $250 where as a 280x would have cost me $350.

Have you upgraded to the 4690k? I'm looking for that exact motherboard and I'm hoping we could work out a deal.

edit: nevermind you're in Australia.
