This is no longer my main system. It has been re-incarnated as my younger brother's PC.
A PC I built for gaming, recording and light video editing, using intermediate December 2013-spec components. It runs very cool and is very stable even when overclocked to 4.7GHz.
I already had a 500GB HDD knocking around which was my OS and Steam drive for a good while.

The RM-1000 was a birthday gift from a friend whom I have thanked very much and hope to return the favour to >someday, after my original Sumvision PowerX3 Pro 600W power supply, from a previous build, exploded in a shower of >thriftiness and frugality. :v
I returned my original Asus M5A97 R2.0 to Amazon for a refund as there was a version with a better chipset, the >M5A99FX PRO R2.0. - I also had problems with some of the PWM headers shorting out and generally not working, though >I am not sure whether this is a model-specific design 'feature' on a low end board. I would reccomend getting the >M5A99FX PRO R2.0 to anyone else thinking of getting the M5A97 model.
