Description

New PC build with some reused parts: GTX 470 OC, Corsair RM 650 PSU, 2x 1TB HDD

*1/04- Will be adding 3 fans, 1x 140mm Corsair AF 2x 120mm Corsair AF

*1/05- Very well pleased with the CPU+old GPU working together, origianly paired the GPU with an i7 950 and never could achieve solid 60fps on my ARPG games (avg was 35+)- and with the new one, my frames never drop below 60. That is with streaming software OBS+game running. I Would highly recommend this CPU if you are into streaming/gaming. ---Note that I also overclocked the CPU to 4.50ghz/32c idle with Gigabyte's EZ Tune Utility Software , no problems so far. --I Will have a next update when new fans are installed.

1/7- Happy, Happy! its great to have things NEW, Hoping to have this last me 5 years +, sorry no video card yet I look like a bum. maybe a budget liquid cooler down the road. Will keep this page updated as I add new parts. Any thoughts/comments/suggestions write at bottom below

*2/28/16 - Display 1 Dell S2716DG 144hz 1ms 2560x1440 | Display 2 Dell IPS U2414H 1080p 60Hz GTX 780 ti SC ACX

*1/13/17- Upgraded to a GTX 1070 GPU

Agree. Which one would you recommend?

the 390 can do 1440p pretty well, and 1080p it kills it. If you want bang for the buck, the 390 would be a better choice. Game drivers don't suck anymore.

It depends, which Resolutions wanna play? 1080, 1440 or 2160 , if you're going for 1080, a gtx 970 will be more than enough, even for 1440 in mid settings, if you want something that does everything go with a 980 no problem, or TI if you're going with overkill OR 2160..! i would recommend a gtx 970, for me is more that what you need! Hope this helped!

Thanks, I may look into a 960 4gb, currently gaming on a 1080p monitor. I mainly just play ARPG games (Diablo III, Path of Exile). Im not dropping any frames when playing on the 470 although its a 5 year old graphics card. Maybe when prices start to drop I may look into upgrading then.

In that case, go for the 960 2gb, the 960 isnt strong enough to use 4gb of VRAM
