Last build was 3 years old, so thought I was time to upgrade. Unfortunately for me as well as a lot of others damn miners jacked up prices for the GTX 1060-1080ti to high for me to afford right now so I got a 1050ti 4gb until prices come down and I can put in a 1080ti. Built this mostly to game, I play games like fortnite, War Thunder, World of Tanks, Stellaris, CS, and a few more. I am running a 1920x1080p Benq XL24II @144hz for my gaming monitor and am able to crank all settings in my games to max without dropping any frames for the most part (Sometimes I will dip below 100 on Fortnite, but never for more than a few seconds). Love everything about this build and have no real complaints. Would recommend this to anyone who whats everything from top Performance to ALL THE RGB! As long as you are only gaming in 1920x1080p !!! FPS may suffer at 4k so just keep that in mind as I have not tested it myself...

Thxs for Reading, SYM-J

(Also this is not the same case I have on the parts list, but PCPP does not have the one I went with. I ended up using the PANTEKS P300 Tempered Glass ATX mid Tower. Really easy to build in except for the top left corner gets crowed fast, Especially with my Radiator. Was able to get this case on Amazon for $50)

Part Reviews

Zero Instability, was able to overclock to 4.2HHz no problem, great CPU if you are only going to be Gaming and doing light work.

CPU Cooler

Would have given 5 stars if not for the fact the instrutions did not help much and had to finger it all out on my own. Keeps my Intel Core i5 7600k 3.8ghz quad core (OC to 4.2GHz) @ a respectable 52°-55°c under-load.

Works great Decent BIOS, only complaint is most of RGB gets covered by components.

Great Speed; Great RGB... Need I say More

No complaints and that's all i need in a HDD

Video Card

Will run any Game I've played at over 100fps np w/ settings maxed. (running at 1920x1080)

Case Fan

My favorite RGB fans I own

I saw miner in the title and was about to lecture you Miners for racking up GPU prices. Then I realized you were pissed at the miners, and now you have my +1 of approval!

I love your build, but with a GTX 1080 Ti it will look a lot better. +1

I agree completely I plan on getting one once mining is done and prices come down.

Good build +1, but why not coffee lake or Ryzen?

SYM-J submitter 1 Build 2 points 8 months ago

Don't trust AMD and I wanted to use a socket I was familiar with

matt44271 1 Build 2 points 8 months ago

Ok, I’ve had a ryzen system for a while now and it’s been great, no problems. But I totally understand why you don’t trust amd, I was the same way before ryzen, I had to get talked into buying it. But I have no regrets

"Don't trust AMD" What does that even mean? I have a Ryzen 5 and it works fantastic.

SYM-J submitter 1 Build 3 points 8 months ago

Yeah man, not nay saying just don't have much personal exp with AMD in the last 10 years. But I know a lot of ppl like the new Zen CPUs which is cool.
