Description

Windows 8 x64 installed on the pcie revodrive. ssd benchmarked at 1500 MB/s.

Corsiar 1200i platinum PSU upgraded

3 way SLI (2)Titan x93 (1) Titan Hydro Copper Signature Series SLI

http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2741503

Changed Mobo from RIV4E to Asrock ex 11

finally installed a custom loop. all inside the case. barely enough room but made it work.
first installation of my waterloop i had cloudy water and microbial buildup. i cought this in time before it ruined my gpu water blocks. I then replaced all the hoseing and rinsed out everything. do not use premixed coolant. now i use distilled water and a few drops of PT nuke. my system runs very cool even under full load/gameplay ect... and the coolant is as clear as the day it was installed.

But I have to ask: HOW IN THE HELL CAN YOU DROP $6K ON A GAMING RIG?!?!? JEEZUS!!

3 titans

  • 4 points

Dont mean to hate.....but with that budget i would go "ALL OUT" custom water cooling with GPU, CPU, Motherboard, Ram and like 2 Mega Radiators and the best pump money can buy lol. I also think that case doesnt do the rig justice what so ever. Now the specs on that machine are the sexiest ive seen on this site for completed builds. Good work bro :D

I'd buy myself a better car with $6,000.

Don't need a water cooler if he doesn't over clock and that probably adds another 700+ dollars

  • 1 point

Looks like he did go all out on watercooling now.

  • 4 points

The case does this build NO justice. Put this in something like a 900D and tidy it all up a bit and you'll be much happier with the results, my brain is frazzled as to how you can spend so much on gpu's and SSD's. In comparison to all that money you're dropping on your computer the case is cheap.

Don't get me wrong I think the build is awesome, I just feel like you've got a supercomputer that looks like little aesthetic thought was put into it.

Upgraded power supply to modular corsiar 1200i. getting ready to dual-sli the titan. need to find another x93 model without the tshirt and mousepad n stuff. the titan had a bit of difficulty running batman arkam city in 3d mode, full physX. took 1 min plus to zone into different areas.

At what CPU clock?!?!?

Sum it up in one word... OVERKILL!

I like it.

Might run Minecraft... hopefully

  • 1 point

right now its stock, but i've overclocked it to 5.1 for benching. i will try new benching with water loop installed. will post on that soon

  • 1 point

I have the same CPU, Just saying: you don't want to Overclock past 5Ghz unless you want to have a pile of liquid metal, some extreme overclockers have made it to 5.2Ghz but they where making thermals!

4.8Ghz Is very stable and should give you no problems!

  • 2 points

But can it run Crysis?

  • 4 points

Oh gosh yes, Crysis 2 on Ultra Settings with 3d Sterioscopic on, probably the sexiest game i've played yet. probably running close to 120fps

  • 1 point

Why not Crysis 3?

  • 2 points

crysis 3 actually has less graphics than crysis 2

... Tim Taylor, is that you? :P

Never expected to see two GTX Titans in SLI... at least, not for any home build.

You really should put your OC settings in your specs though. I mean, you have a EE i7, and two GTX Titans... all watercooled... and the specs say the CPU is at a mere 4.0GHZ overclock and the titans are running stock, I know you have overclocked them more than that ;)

  • 1 point

Why no 690? A single 690 beats a single titan, the only time you want a titan is when going SLI.

  • 4 points

Titan scale better and less frame lag but at that fps it doesn't matter lol. And I would guess so you can sli them in the future lol.

  • 2 points

And I agree if you only get one card get the 690 but if sli is in the future get the Titan

  • 1 point

ill keep that in mind. have to upgrade my power supply for that. thx

  • 1 point

Roughly the same performance for one gpu vs the 690's two. Also less power consumption and quieter.

  • 1 point

He has 3 dam Titans, not like he has to worry about anything to do with the graphics after that.

  • 1 point

I'm geussing when I made my original comment 6 months ago, he only had one titan, so yes, now I agree, 3 titans will beat any configuration out their except for 4.

Because you can.

  • 1 point

I've Actually Decided to Upgrade the 4 smaller drives and get 4 (3Tb) replacements. I have OS installed on the PCIE 480GB which will have only the most graphics extensive games.
-1 is a Media Server for my home network for just Movies, -Media Server for TV shows.
-1 for music, -1 for games,
-1 for 3d Movies.
-1 3 TB for all other less graphically enhanced games and software and programs File System. I had like 8 Externals that i have transferred all the data from, USB doesnt stream as well as SATA connections. I wanted a PC that would last me a very long time. i think of this as a 10 year investment, vice buying a laptop that will be obsolete in 1~2 years and need replaced for $2k.

  • 1 point

I get the idea behind it. I hope you did realize most of this hardware won't last that long. Most of this hardware will probably lose support at some point before 10 years. Especially the SSD's, you'll be lucky to get the full 10 years out of them.

  • 1 point

HOLY CRAP, WHATS YOUR JOB???? HOW DO YOU HAVE THAT MUCH MONEY TO DROP ON A COMPUTER?? WHAT DO YOU USE IT FOR??? And gratz on your EPIC INSANE build. :D I wish i had 1/6 of that money LOL.

P.S I would've gone with a custom waterloop

Installed Windows 8 x64 due to TDRDelay issues/ screen timeout, BSOD ect. still the same ;.; i cant seem to figure out what is making my display drivers crash...

  • 1 point

What are the messages you're getting on the BSODs?

  • 1 point

KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (storport.sys) is one and -updated the asmedia sata driver to a newer version.

Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered. is the other.

I have replaced the nvlddmkm with an expanded nvlddmkm.sy_ using dos. havnt had a flickr since.

system crashes are less frequent with windows 8 vice 7

What is the exact error code you get with the KMODE error? That's a pretty common one....I think it has to do with debugging

I don't think it can run Minecraft. Make it dual socket and then it might be able to run at about 10 FPS but if you go quad socket, I'm positive you'll be able to run at at least 30 FPS with a 32x32 texture pack. Minecraft is the most graphic intensive game EVER!!!

  • 1 point

DUDE WHAT IN THE WORLD DO YOU DO THAT YOU NEED ALL THAT POWER!?

I mean you have a GTX 690 and upgraded it to a 2-WAY SLI GTX TITAN and 14TG on hard drives and 32GB on RAM?!

  • 2 points

moar power! i actually never had a 690. initially i purchased a 680 but had the screen flicker failure and returned the card to newegg. then got 2 titans cuz the load times on some games was too much for 1 card to handle in 3d mode. sli titans is the way to go. no load times, just instant sexyness.

  • 1 point

Umm, what in the world do you possibly need that much power for? Angry birds? Lol, joking. I'm just blown away by the fact that someone can spend that much on a single system. Just two questions:

Do you sleep?

Have you made contact with the outside world?

Apart from that, you've got a crazy build there. That'll last you until 2040 at the very least!

  • 1 point

This may be a stupid question, but what is that in the front of your case that shows the temp in your case. Looks like its touch screen... Only saw those things in cyberpowerpc computers and they look awesome. And this build, what can I say? Its as dream for somebody to have.

sorry to spam this but since I'm new to the whole custom PC scene and really have no idea what I'm doing I'd like to ask if anyone here could help me out on making a gaming PC that could run a game like Dayz or PS2 with decent enough FPS. My budget is 500-600 for the tower; doesn't have to be best out there just a good starting point that I could improve off of as I get more money to get to swap out the parts for something better. Again sorry for spamming this thread but it was the best thing I could considering the publicity for the build. If you can help thanks if not well thanks for taking the time to read this :)

As someone who is new to custom builds; what do you normally use a build this powerful for..?

I've seen custom rigs running from 7-12k and I cannot fathom what its usef for on a regular basis...

  • 1 point

Nice components, terrible tubing, and also too much ram at too high of speeds, so you can't overclock, like, at all, with a $1000 cpu... lol. But please do something about your tubing, Use some 90 degree compression fittings, or something, and undo all that cross-tubing.
