8320 instead of 8350. Nice! Smart move. You realized overclocks are essentially the same.

Cool looking case. Haven't seen that one before. Why'd you pick it?

Add the 7950 price and I'll upvote yah.

I'm from the UK so that's probably why the price isn't showing up for you. I got it for £200 as there was a £20 discount code, it also came with Bioshock Infinite, Crysis 3 and Farcry 3 blood Dragon, so it was a good deal

You can manually set the prices, and in pounds. It helps when people know the price you really paid.

ok I'll try that now

8350 has so much more overclocking overhead than the 8320, if you're doing a mild OC it's fine, but for real overclocking the 8320 just doesn't cut it. Seems like a fine choice for this build though, it looks good!

I don't plan on doing any mad overclocking however i will be overclocking at some stage. I think the 8320 will do me just fine

According to a review. On one test system, the 8350 reached 4.7GHz and the 8320 reached 4.6GHz. Difference is essentially nothing. http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu/display/fx-8350-8320-6300-4300_9.html#sect0

The big issue with 83xx series is power consumption. You need a bigger PSU to handle them. http://www.anandtech.com/show/6396/the-vishera-review-amd-fx8350-fx8320-fx6300-and-fx4300-tested/8

I was deciding between this and the r4 windowed, the s31 has been great so far though

How much space is in the back for cable management? And if I did a custom watercooling loop do you think i could fit a 240mm rad in the top and a 240mm in the front?

  • 1 point

There is plenty of room for cable management. I'm not sure about the water cooling though ill check and get back to you

Impressive build! For the price its pretty powerful! Love the case too, sleek and nice looking, not over the top like some.

The cable management could be a bit better, but other than that, its a solid build.

This is, amazing. It really shows how much bang for the buck you can get. This is absolutely gorgeous. I may consider building something very similar to this. Kudos OP.

Really nice. I am doing a new build and am looking at this case, or the Fractal R4. My only real hangup is that the S31 states a max cooler height of 155mm, and the Hyper Evo 212 is listed as 159mm. It seems like everything fit ok for you, though?

thanks, and yes the hyper 212 fits perfectly in mine

looks good, i like the look of the case but i already bought the 1 im going to use or i might have been swayed, went for cooler master haf 912+ bout £30 cheaper than this case when i got it but its absolutely huge, and lots and i do mean lots of mesh, Destiny recently referred to similar case as straight out of 2006, and i can see his point lol, lots of big fan possibilities though :p

An amazing build, similar to what I would like! Looks like you've done a great job especially for a first time! Hope you're enjoying the realms of PC gaming etc. Only thing I would have changed is the RAM(8GB 2133MHz for £53).

What a great build and good to see another British person do one! :)

Hey man so i'm looking at buying this case but my issue is the cooler master evo 212 everything i read says it has issues as far as its dimensions and this case. When you put on the side panel do you have to jam it shut at all? (contact between the two components?)

The px21s are so uncomfortable for me. I'm looking to get a nice set of headphones for Christmas to use for gaming as well as music
