Description

Haven't had much problem building this system although it has been a while since I last built any system.

My girlfriend and I decided to build it on Saturday, after I've been working a night shift we were both a bit tired.

It was pretty much straight forward, the only thing that worries me are the temperatures as it idles at 35c sometimes even 40c, not sure if that is h100i adjusting and does it need some burn time.

I have already ordered noctua nh t1 thermal paste and I will see if the temperatures improve. As you can see I have swapped the silent edition SP120 fans of the h100i as I had no control over them and I believe for now they are doing the good job.

I use two monitors dell u2312hm and LG ips 23 inches both. Razer naga mouse and a qpad mk 85.

Any questions or suggestions please fire away and if you can please advise on the temperatures and whether I should change the thermal paste.

PS I have booted the windows on 4.5Ghz but thermals were around 45c idle and 85c on the load using OCCT. I really hope thermal paste helps.

You can see couple of pictures of my now, girlfriend's X51 :). And she came up with the name to call this PC the monster! Project is still ongoing I am planning on investing in Custom watercooling loop therefore I chose this case.

Kind Regards

Milan

Nice build!. You should definetely check the cpu cooler and that you applied the thermal paste correctly, those are high temps.

I like the build... Is that your GF sitting in the distance doing some assembly?

You should both take a bow.

Did you contact Corsair about the temps? Perhaps they might have a suggestion.

Not really mate, just delided my CPU or even better had my girlfriend do it xD. Piece of cake! Temperatures are ok, I am still looking to achieve better idle temperatures but this will do for now.

Nice. I guess I am not the only one with an expensive taste.

Thumbs up.

If I am honest, I have never rated CLC coolers. Hopefully you just need to remount it. Careful of those 80+ temps.

Delidding / getting better thermal paste. But it is all about luck when it comes to cpu temps. I was just pointing out you were unlucky. Sorry. I didn't get the best chip either.

I have delided it :D, with CLU I don't hit more than 35C idle on 4.6 and 74-77c under full load! Win!

It's very easy in my opinion, people make out it to be some sort of hard to do thing, CPU I mean the chip itself its not as gentle as you might think, I slight scratches on mine and it still works, also I've applied force when I did it especially towards the end as I was getting tired with it! :)
