The new asus line of Motherboards is where I started and I was very impressed by their technology and how well it makes customizing your machine. I was on edge with getting the Corsair cooler but I was able to snag one with a coupon at $81 which is about 40 more than the best air cooler I was going to find. Plus its going to be useful when over clocking the PC. I went only with 16GB of memory at this point as studies show that their really isn't a huge increase in performance from 16 to 32 unless you have a processor to handle the speed. I went with the best 17 processor for the money. I got this price matched from a competitor through best buy with a 10 % coupon from them to lower the cost even more. I went with two 120 ssd instead of just on 240 ssd as I raid 0 the cards together for speed. Same thing the the WD black drives though this is going to be for all my other items: video, photos, documents. I already have a 5 tb external back up drive so as long as you back you should be fine. I spent a lot time looking around at cases. I want something that was expandable which organized and quite. I believe the fractal design case has been right on point there. EVGA has been around for awhile and their g2 series has a 10 year warranty. Needless to say it will be good for awhile. The LG bluray drive is a bit noise however. Thinking of changing it out but not sure yet. I didn't trust windows 8 to be compatible with all of my software programs and devices so I settled for Windows 7 pro as I am looking at 32 Gb of memory one day. The asus wireless I just got.... though I can't imagine those speeds until until I upgrade my wireless modem and even then Comcast doesn't offer those speeds yet.
