Description

May of 2013 was when my interest in building a computer began. The idea truly fascinated me and I knew I definitely wanted to build one. The only dilemma I faced was that none of my friends or anyone I knew well enough had built a PC before so I was on my own. Google and YouTube quickly became my best friends. I'm sure many people who take an interest in building computers know exactly what I'm talking about. It's not exactly the most complicated thing in the world, but there is a lot to know between all the different parts, brands, compatibility issues, ect. and you sure do have to know what you're doing as to not waste hundreds or thousands of dollars. I pretty quickly decided I wanted an AMD based build and had about a thousand USD budget (which I did surpassed by quite a bit). Another requirement I had was that the PC had to look like it came straight from outter space and had to have a black and red LED theme. So, based on that, I went to work researching and making parts lists. I went though probably a good two or three dozen builds over eight months before I settled on my final parts list, which I only officially finalized as I was buying the parts haha but I am more than pleased with the end result. I had very specific reasoning for each and every part that went into this build and can justify every purchase I made. In case you wanted to know, for what ever reason you may have, why I chose each part and what I now think of them after building with them, here's a brief description of my thoughts of every part in my system. Enjoy :) (Descriptions coming soon)

Thanks. I've always said I wanted my rig to look like something right out of space so I figured the name suited the build well

Thanks for noticing! I spent countless hours trying to manage in this case. It definitely wasn't optimized for cable management

The only thing i dont like about your build is the GPU, you got a big budged, but, you bought a mid-range gpu ... but overall, great job!

Well, I am planning on upgrading to crossfire in the near future, hence the overkill psu. I figured that I would be able to spend $440 for the two cards and receive much better raw performance than a single r9 280x which would run about $400 for the single card

same thing i'm doing, seems logical right? although, once that happens all this "bitcoin" fad will fade away and return prices to the norm after they've over produced cards, or it sticks around and supply meets demand in a sense.

Have you tried any gaming on it yet? just curious, i can't wait to buy my starter pack from TD and start building!! How exciting was that first boot?

Yup, at least definitely for my needs. And, sorry I'm not too knowledgeable on bitcoins at the moments, I really wanted to research them more to at least see what all the hype is about. I heard something about some sort of black market? I don't know...

Anyway, yes of course I've been gaming on this beast! I've played SR4 and of course it ran it maxed out everything (the graphics aren't quite "next gen") and I've also been playing AC4 a fair amount. It runs everything maxed except for AA which I have on EQAAx4 and the overall graphics at high opposed to very high but the game is still stunningly gorgeous. Absolutely remarkable.

The first boot I did was just an out of case test to make sure I could POST. When it did, I was cheering. Then I put everything in the case, and it posted again... because I didn't have my HDD and SSD in yet (take notice in my parts picture). It was about a week before I received them and that left me with so much down time, with the computer just sitting there, tempting me, and that's why the cable management is so clean. But after I finally got everything running, I felt a great sense of accomplishment more than anything if I'm honest here. I couldn't wait to show off my work and run some benchmarks and get to gaming.

Best of luck on your build, if you remember comment back to me when the build is finished so I can check it out. I love to look at others' builds!

How do you compare this mouse to others ?

This is actually my first gaming mouse honestly, but I absolutely love it! It feels feel in the hand and is great for gaming. And not to mention it's super sexy. Pictures don't do it justice. I would highly recommend especially for the price.
