This is my first PC build! It felt great when it booted up for the first time. Did a ton of research the few weeks prior to building and finally pulled the trigger on the components one night, built the evening the last parts came in, and everything booted up without a hitch. Really surprised it went so smoothly to be honest. Went with a blue and white theme. May swap out some different fans later on to change things up a little.
Be gentle on the cable management PCPP. I know the current cable management around the PC is awful, but just bought my first house and am in the middle of moving still. I will certainly fix in due time :P.
Beginning to do some light gaming and general home business applications.
Thanks PCPP community for all the prep work help and advice those of you have offered me in the past few weeks.
I know it is budget, but it feels so fast compared to the laptop I had been using. AMD A4 1.0GHZ processor to this is like a whole new world of fast. Really recommend for budget builds. Games great too when paired with the RX 470. Gaming the temps hover close to 60 degrees Celsius. I plan to get a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo soonto bring it down some.
Only picked this because of the 4 RAM slots and 2 system fan headers over its sibling mobo, the pro-vd. Worth the extra $10 I think
Cheapest RAM available at the time. Waited for it to go on sale. 8BG seems plenty for my purposes.
Never used an SSD before, thought I would give it a try. Wow it boots quickly, a lot faster than I have ever been used to. Very pleased.
Got a great price on this thanks to Microcenter, works very well with teh G4560 it seems. Temps on both stay reasonably low.
Easy to work in, maybe wish it had a bit more room for extra cables in the back panel, but loved working in it and looks great.
Next time I will look to go modular. I did not do my research enough on ,modular vs non-modular. I did however learn the true meaning of cable management for cables I never plan on using...
