This is my first PC build! It felt great when it booted up for the first time. Did a ton of research the few weeks prior to building and finally pulled the trigger on the components one night, built the evening the last parts came in, and everything booted up without a hitch. Really surprised it went so smoothly to be honest. Went with a blue and white theme. May swap out some different fans later on to change things up a little.

Be gentle on the cable management PCPP. I know the current cable management around the PC is awful, but just bought my first house and am in the middle of moving still. I will certainly fix in due time :P.

Beginning to do some light gaming and general home business applications.

Thanks PCPP community for all the prep work help and advice those of you have offered me in the past few weeks.

Part Reviews

I know it is budget, but it feels so fast compared to the laptop I had been using. AMD A4 1.0GHZ processor to this is like a whole new world of fast. Really recommend for budget builds. Games great too when paired with the RX 470. Gaming the temps hover close to 60 degrees Celsius. I plan to get a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo soonto bring it down some.

Only picked this because of the 4 RAM slots and 2 system fan headers over its sibling mobo, the pro-vd. Worth the extra $10 I think

Cheapest RAM available at the time. Waited for it to go on sale. 8BG seems plenty for my purposes.

Never used an SSD before, thought I would give it a try. Wow it boots quickly, a lot faster than I have ever been used to. Very pleased.

Video Card

Got a great price on this thanks to Microcenter, works very well with teh G4560 it seems. Temps on both stay reasonably low.

Easy to work in, maybe wish it had a bit more room for extra cables in the back panel, but loved working in it and looks great.

Power Supply

Next time I will look to go modular. I did not do my research enough on ,modular vs non-modular. I did however learn the true meaning of cable management for cables I never plan on using...

Excellent job getting it to boot up first try. (: My feedback is I think you should have gotten a (2x4gb) 8gb memory kit but I doubt it hardly matters. You got a huge deal on that graphics card, that price is killer. Also, other than the psu being non-modular, does it seem to be reliable for the small price you paid?

Yea it has been super reliable, started up and done everything I've wanted it to each time. I just made sure to update all of the drivers after installing windows. And for the memory I really wanted to get a 2x4GB kit, but this was just cheaper at the time lol

I've used that psu in several budget builds. It has held up on all of them. If you look at your pc ur probably drawing low 300w total right now. Good build. My g4560 is running great for me too

Pentium have always been solid CPUs, even if they lack the power of the "i" series

Excellent budget build. Well done.

You've got a really good CPU/GPU pairing there. Budget kings.

LetsGoDevs11 submitter 1 Build 1 point 2 months ago

That's what it looked like when I did my research, I'm glad it worked out the way it did.

Very good. Nice job matching your build with a free sync monitor.

My take is that you should upgrade with another 8gb of ram and a 1 TB HDD.

Nice job on keeping the price low with the case, motherboard and power supply.

Once my wife lengthens my chain for my computer budget that is exactly the plan lol, thanks

If the PSU was the cxm 450w that is currently on sale for 30$, this would have been the perfect embodiment of a budget build!

LetsGoDevs11 submitter 1 Build 1 point 2 months ago

Absolutely agree! Wish I had done my research of modular vs non-modular before getting the one I did. Next build! :P

Beautiful build!+1

BTW, Does the G4560 bottleneck the 470?

LetsGoDevs11 submitter 1 Build 1 point 2 months ago

Not that I have seen so far. I had done a lot of research on the pairing before building and everywhere I looked like they were a perfect pairing. However, I have not played too many games on it yet so I don't have a definite answer. I can give an update in a few weeks/months. Moving and studying for the CPA so I sadly don't have the time I want for gaming yet currently :(.

In short they seem to work nicely together though. I've heard for 1080 gaming even the RX 460 works fine too though and you can get those pretty cheap now with the 560 on the way soon.

HA! knew someone else would enjoy the gloomy look of that awesome place. Memories of first time playing that game, what a series...

Skraydd 3 Builds 1 point 2 months ago

Bioshock Infinite is actually my favorite game of all time (Elizabeth <3), I played it for more than 430 hours..

And Cohen is one of my favorite character from a video game. This guy is just... (the Fitzpatrick part in the first Bioshock remains one of my favorite moments)

Anyways... :p

Lol yep good stuff, I liked the ending of Infinite the best. Just went WOW when I played it the first time and the story came full circle.
