Description

I have built this workstation for home office DTP work.

Some parts are perhaps a bit overkill (PSU, Mainboard), but the main goal was durability and some future-proofing - hence the unlocked CPU.

Plus this is my first new build in a long time, so I didn't want to cut any corners with cheap parts.

Note: that Fractal Design R4 case is really sweet :D (and quiet)

Those are very nice photos. What camera are you using?

Thanks. I have an older DSLR - Nikon D60 (from 2008 I think).

The better choice for you is a "Intel Xeon E3-1231V3".

Thanks, I did not consider that (didn't know that the Xeon E3s were using LGA 1150 tbh...) According to PassMark benchmarks it is indeed better, but probably would have gone with the 4690K still, for the convenience of IGP.

Not needed for DTP

Yeah it isn't really necessary now (IGP is fine for Office/Adobe CS). A dedicated card can still be added later.
