Description

My first build and my first dedicated gaming PC. I like the orange scheme on the inside and strict black and white on the outside. The LEDs are white but white balance is impossible on the iPhone 4. LEDs are a necessity on your first gaming PC, of course.

Parts purchased the week before black friday on Amazon when Prime was available, Newegg when not.

The build went down without any issues. I had to get the Classic Shell skin for Windows 8.1. I couldn't find the control panel with the stock interface right away and I just wanted to hurry up, install drivers, and start gaming. As of now, I haven't utilized the live tiles for anything. The Corsair case is so roomy and made my basic cable management easy. Modular PSUs should just be standard. Not the top of the line SSD but it still has a faster boot time than I've ever had. 650ti boost is a nice little card and I can run Skyrim on Ultra, which is all I personally need for now. No overclocking since all of the games I am playing are a few years old (catching up on PC gaming history). Any parts I have listed for $0.00 were gifts.

Note: -I wouldn't recommend getting a Zalman for someone's first build. It is nerve wrecking to install. The amount of force needed is surprising and I had to have a buddy on Skype comfort me through putting so much force on my components I just spent a few hundred on. But it does look nice and is silent so I do not regret it.

Like the build, only problem I see is all your pictures are upside down. Don't know if it's just me though. +1 for going with a more budget friendly card for your build.

Only thing i have to say, is THAT PSU. Is not for these kinda builds, if you plan on upgrading your CPU, I'll diffenently reccommend another PSU.

Other than that it's a great build! +1

Just saying, I just bought that PSU model and I got the 600w which was the same price.

Nice build. But you are right that cup color I would not recommend. Why?. Well its pure copper, now copper is a natural heat transfer, they use copper as "heat pips" found in the majority of heatsink. Along with aluminum fins, aluminum is a natural heat disappater, so copper heat pips and aluminum fins are best. Only telling you this just in case you didn't know :) awesome build. Btw Haskell and overclocking is worse than ivy bridge during to heat, choose carefully! EDIT; cute kitten I've got two!
