Description

First build ever! Named it YOLO because even though I hate that term it summed up the building process.

I play BF3 and WoW on it at the moment til I get more games now that I can actually play them.

The case is great I think. Cheap but still a quality product. I am planning on getting another fan for the front however the fan in the rear and exhaust can really move the air out. Cable management isn't the best though I am happy with it

As it's my first build I can't really comment on the motherboard. I found it reasonably easy to install everything in. Securing the CPU with the latch was scary, hearing noises that sounded like things breaking but all turned out well. Plugging in the cables was the most confusing part of the build and resulted in a bit of guessing.

Love the GPU. The temps were logged while playing BF3 in 1080p with high/ (mainly) ultra settings reaching 55 with 36% fan speed. The coolest I've logged the card being is 26.

The guy at the shop I bought the parts from went with that PSU. I would have chosen another one but it works fine.

I got the black edition of the Razer Arctosa keyboard and its horrible. Can't see any of the keys.

Any questions about the build then ask away and I'll try my best to answer them.

I would suggest losing that PSU. Seems to be the weakest link. Then the SSD would be the next product I feel isn't great quality. Just too many fail reviews out there for my personal tastes though. If you can return that Razar keyboard, maybe look at Logitech for your next keyboard?

Everything else is spot on. I hope you enjoyed building your first computer! Let us know if you wanna do a second one :)

This^ especially about the keyboard. The Arctosa is very bad, you should get a Logitech G110 (they're usually pretty cheap.)

Edit: Just noticed 'I got the black edition of the Razer Arctosa keyboard and its horrible' in the post. Haha.

I've had an OCZ vertex 2 in my laptop for over a year and have had no problems with it. The problem is that I was only planning on spending $1200 max on the build but that blew out pretty quick for the parts I was looking at.

What do you guys/girls think of the cable management. I personally am happy with it.

Also because I later found out that I wasn't able to connect my dvd drive to my computer I had to use my other home computer to install windows on it.

And the monitor I actually got is an Acer 23" for the same price as whats in the build.

It's a bit messy but still decent for a first build.

Hey guys. I am in the market for a new rig and it will be my first build. I'm pretty noobish on the finer points but having done what I consider to be research I have come up with this. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/gHxs Any comments or concerns would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You know, you could always go to /r/buildapc instead of posting comments everywhere.
