Description

Built this PC with the bones of my last build that just wasn't quite strong enough for me. It plays all my games maxed out with good frames and scored a 6650 on 3DMark Firestrike. Was able to get some amazing deals which really helped bring the price down and I feel like I got solid performance for the price.

CPU: Originally planned on getting a 4690k, however staples price matched microcenter's in-store price on the 4590 and I had a 30 dollars off coupon so it was too tempting to pass up.

MOBO: Was able to pick this up over on /r/hardwareswap for 85, kind of wish I would've gone mAtx but for the price its a great motherboard.

RAM: Red, G.Skill, reliable.

Storage: Honestly wishing I would've just went with the standard ocz-arc version, however I really wanted to stick with the red and black color scheme, and I had the HDD from a past build.

GPU: Before anyone says it I really wanted the 960 for the fan-free at low temp design and the low power consumption. Furthermore I got this one at a great price and it OC's like a champ.

Case: Solid case for the price, tried to wait for it to go on a better sale but not patient enough.

PSU: Corsair, Modular, 500w should be enough, for now.

For $85? why would you chose a mobo that cant overclock for the same price. He can upgrade his CPU later on and overclock without having to buy a new mobo. But anyways nice build man +1

I wanted the full features of z97 or h97 and this board matched my color scheme and was only 85 dollars, no other board fit that criteria and was similarly priced.

Originally had planned to but it would've been almost $100 more. Also, I only went with the motherboard because it was $85 dollars and looked good haha.
