Description

This build took me about two hours to build (I double checked everything as it was my first time building a PC). I bought the RX 580 off of eBay as used parts are a very good way to save some money. Booting off of the PC is extremely fast due to the SSD and the 16GB of RAM allows for one chrome tab (new builders, i'm kidding it is a running joke in the community; it can handle a game, discord, and multiple tabs open). The 1400 fairs well in the build and pairs well with the RX 580, it can easily handle 1080p gaming (I have a 1920x1080 monitor) and due to the AMD GPU, it can utilise Freesync. Putting the PC together was an easy process, the case was good to build in and the building process went smoothly. However there was a minor problem when building. The power supply is non-modular to save some money and this made cable management very hard. The front of the case is good looking and the cables are all in order, but if you take the back off, it doesn't look very pretty. Other than that the PC looks good and clean. The RGB fans look good (I used the Aigo DR12's but it wasn't in the database so I put a substitute in, same for the black ones, I used some UpHere fans) and the GPU and CPU cooler match nicely to have a red & black colour scheme.

I overclocked the CPU to 3.9 ghz and with the Arctic Freezer 34 (again, substitute) it kept the CPU nice and cool. I can run Fortnite on epic settings at 60-80fps on 1080p, Overwatch at 75-110fps 1080p, R6 Seige at 75-80fps at 1080p and CSGO at 150-200fps at 1080p. There is only one downside to this parts list (in my opinion), the PSU probably will need to get changed out later on if you plan on upgrading parts.

Part Reviews

CPU

Great CPU for gaming, I managed to get it to 3.9ghz. Would reccomend.

Motherboard

Good motherboard. However a 2 slot graphics card will cover up the x1 PCI-e slot and the dual front panel USB was a bit restricting if you have an SD card slot

Memory

Great RAM for the price. The fact it has no heat sync is not a problem as for the price it is a great deal

Storage

Great little SSD. Can fit an OS, a couple of games and many many applications, great if you pair it with an HDD

Storage

A good HDD. 7200rpm would've been nice for the price though.

Video Card

I got this second hand off of eBay, but the thermals are good and the Frozr fans stop dust build up. Would recommend for any mid ranged PC.

Case

Great case with great features. This case has many features that other cases at the price do not have, rubber grommets would've been nice

Power Supply

Good for most mid-low range PCs. I would recommend getting a higher wattage power supply if you plan on upgrading in the future.

Are you going to upgrade the 1400 down the line? I've heard the 1600 and 2600 are really good upgrades

How many fans does the case come with?

The case comes with one exhaust fan at the back. Change it out.
