For our first ever gaming PC my wife and I decided to do a build together to better understand computers and their components. I was happy to see her on board with the idea and actually did most of the part ordering and setting up the shipments while I was stuck at work, this website helped out tremendously to show her which parts I already had picked out.

I will talk about a few of the parts and the build in its entirety.

The Case: The NZXT H440 case is a thing of beauty, all metal and tons of room for cable management made a first time build a piece of cake. Mounting the motherboard and everything else I never had a problem with space, sometimes I had my wife use her small hands to get into spaces easier (also to let her do some of the work).

The Motherboard: MSI G45 motherboard was a piece of cake to set up. The audio booster is working great and all connections were easy to find and set up. Also the BIOS screen was one of the best I have ever seen, a long jump from what I had seen in the past.

The Graphics Card: MSI N770 OC Gaming Edition was an easy install and looks great with out Black/Red/While set up, it runs very quiet and pushes a great benchmark and I have yet to see a game that I own have any trouble with the card at ultra.

CPU/FAN/RAM: The cpu was extremely easy to install and we ditched the stock fan for the aftermarket Black/Red Thermaltake CLP0607, very easy set up and universal between AMD and Intel boards. The RAM is the Corsair Vengance Red LE 8gb, snapped in easy and also easy to overclock with the MSI afterburner application.

All in all it was a very fun build and glad to do it, only problem is now the wife wants her own in Black/Green, maybe one day soon :).

10/10 would build again!

Excellent build! Always like to see good cable management. Hope you love your H440 as much as I love mine!

Absolutely! Its one of the nicest looking cases I have seen in quite some time and the cable management was a dream. Congrats on grabbing one as well! I know they are hard to come by right now.

I was literally just looking at your build and seeing how similar it was to mine, well done! I actually had that case in mind when I was first getting the build together then the NZXT caught my eye. Thank you for the great words and once again great build.

great look, I'm really liking that color scheme. And I have no idea how that cooler is but it looks awesome! +1

Motoagogo submitter 1 Build 1 point 45 months ago

The cooler is working great, it was kinda a no name to me as well but tigerdirect, tomshardware, and newegg all seemed to really like it. So I took a shot, and it ended up working well.

I got a kick out of seeing that this was a two person project. You're lucky to have such a supporting companion.

is the PCB on the GPU bent a bit?

Is the monitor good for the price, because I looked forward to getting this monitor but I heard it has ghosting issues. And people also say it has a "12ms response time" instead of 4ms. Can you tell me if it works correctly with no ghosting?

Motoagogo submitter 1 Build 1 point 41 months ago

So far so good, I have not had a single issue with it so far and no ghosting as of yet. But mine was a refurbished monitor from factory, so they might have corrected it. But I give the monitor a solid 9/10 for the price.

Very nice build. Why would you use gloves?

Motoagogo submitter 1 Build 7 points 45 months ago

Just did it to be safe, always was professional about everything we do. So for dust, static, fingerprints, and oil residue we decided to use latex gloves with no powder. Came out clean without a fingerprint :).

Wish I would have used gloves with mine. The case has prints all over it. Love the build! +1
