Description

First off, I had no help whatsoever with this PC. I am not really good at descriptions but i'll try. I wanted a PC that looked decent, had decent specs, and could do 1080p 60fps on high. The CPU DOES bottleneck, so keep that in mind. I think that these are solid parts, with the exception of the PSU and HDD. I'll get to that later. I like doing games like Team Fortress 2, BeamNG.Drive, and Minecraft so I didn't need a GTX titan or 980. If you're wondering, this PC was built in early 2016, so DO NOT RANT ABOUT THE GTX 960!!!I would have gone with the 1060 3gb. I plan to graduate to a GTX 1180 or 1280 whenever that is released so my PC is fine for the time being. The KBM combo is nice, blue LEDs are nice nut you cannot see the letters on the keys when the backlight is off. I had a problem with the PSU at the beginning where I had to have a paperclip in the cable at ALL TIMES. The cheap nexus fan helps keep the system cooler, but it is quite loud. The AMD stock cooler also drives me nuts sometimes. The Z213 speakers are cheap but they sound amazing. I definitely recommend them as budget speakers. As monitors go, the Acer is a cheap LED 1080p monitor and I love it, coming from a terrible 1280x1024 monitor from my dad's 2005 XPS with... WINDOWS XP!!!!! :) It is able to play TF2 at high at ~75FPS on "Very High" settings at 1080p, and BeamNG at around 40-100 depending on what map or area you're in. I hope you guys enjoy my build!

Good job on building your own pc.

Now tidy up your cables, young'n....if they bother you. It would be purely asthetic.

Thumbs up.

great job! just move some cables to the back and tidy it up.

There is a very small back area so I was only able to move a couple cables back.

Nice build young man! Safe to say there are not to many 11 year old's building their own PC's. Very impressive! Just work on trying to clean up your cables some. You want it to look good through that window!

Some notes/comments One: Props on the amazingly decent build amigo Two: Your description is amazing and you, my young friend, are going places. Three: I would suggest the infinitely popular Cooler Master 212 EVO cooler or maybe an AIO 120mm cooler of some degree

Little cable management and that's a modest build! Though I wish you knew the GTX 1050 Ti was coming Fall 2016 so you could save $50 on something even more better

I feel like an idiot now for not knowing. I could have gotten an i3-6100 with a 1060 instead too!

ATeensTwoCents 2 points 11 months ago

Yea. But hey, don't feel upset about not knowing then, as of then there was no indication of a 1080p-built graphics card coming. But for the price, this was a very modest build. Good job!

Thanks. I actually may upgrade soon to a gtx 1070 and 7600k.

ATeensTwoCents 1 point 11 months ago

Nice, I don't know enough about the 7600K to give my, as my username says, two cents about it. Looks like it's a bit cheaper, more powerful in some benchmarks, and pretty similar to its predecessor, the 6700k. But only Kaby Lake CPUs can stream Netflix at 4K, so that's a big bonus, fam.

CuyMasterGaming submitter 1 Build 1 point 11 months ago

I believe the 6700k is an i7 and the 7600k is an i5.

coming from a 1280x1024 $#!% monitor...

And you said you're 11? You dad hasn't seen this, right? I'd fix the language first (just in case), then the cabling. Otherwise, not a bad build.
