Description

Built this back in 2010, and it initially had a GeForce 9500GT (hand-me-down from my older brother), which burned out in a couple of months lol.

I then I replaced it with a Radeon HD 6850 in 2011......and I upgraded it in 2013 to an AMD HD 7870 Ghz Edition.

I've also overclocked the processor (just by 200Mhz).

Initially it was built just for gaming, but for the better part of the last 2 years I've started video editing, graphic design, motion graphic design, 3D graphics and 3D animation.

I was fine with the performance until I started all this lol, 4GB was fine until then. Other than that, it plays every video game at maximum/ultra settings with great frame rates (monitor is only 1440x900 anyway)

Ram seems to be out of position. You have them in slots 3 and 4. You should want them in 2 and 4 if it's the same as my ASRock Mobo.

Yup, you are correct. His RAM sticks are in the wrong slots.

I think I have the older one than you, the 870 Extreme3. The manual says for dual channel you should use the same color slots...and they're beside each other. Check out page 15 here: http://66.226.78.22/downloadsite/manual/870%20Extreme3.pdf Thanks for looking out for a fellow builder tho!

Interesting, I see that it does say to put them in adjacent slots.
