Was getting extremely annoyed with my HAF-X case, wiring was a significant issue and I had to rip out several wires over its lifespan due to catching fire; also I wanted something easier to get in and out of. So I opted for the Corsair 780T case which is a pretty decent case; however it could us some better quality sides for the latches, they pop off way too easy.
Parts I spent money on for this build were the 780T, Kraken X61, RAM, and PSU. The rest was ported over from my previous build.
I'm impressed with how well the 780Ti SLI is holding up; so far they have been smoking my old 390X CF setup since Crimson drivers.
Runs very, very hot. This one was not a great specimen; 4.3Ghz stable on 1.28V; 1.31V not enough to get it stable @4.4Ghz. On an H80i it was unmanageable due to heat to even get 4.1Ghz without hitting 80+C.
Very impressed with the X61; this is my second build with it, and for an AIO, it does a great job.
Good board, no issues.
Seriously the hardiest drive I have ever had; survived multiple drive killings around it like a champ (due to bad 1300W G2 PSU).
Still a great card as long as you manage the VRAM load. In SLI it has soundly defeated my 390X CF since Crimson drivers (390Xs have been repurposed as single card builds). Also the build quality on these MATRIX cards is soooo much better than on my STRIX DC3 cards. You could cave someone's skull in with these things. STRIX cards would probably shatter on impact. LED on the MATRIX cards is also much better as they show load while the STRIX DC3 cheapo light thing just strobes white non-stop.
Pretty good case; needs stouter side panel mechanism.
Ok so far....hopefully doesn't turn out like my crappy 1300W G2 and start frying drives. Seriously though my other 1300W G2 has never had issues. So 50/50.
Best OS ever made.
59Hz is a bit of a bummer, but colors are so much better than my SWIFT monitors.
