Description

My first actual solo build, i have built a couple pc's with my father years back but this is the only one i did all by myself. I was looking for a machine that can just crunch through everything i throw at it. The CPU is over clocked to 4.6GHz, but my GPU is bottle necking, im able to run BF4 at around 50-60 fps planning on possibly getting another one.

I have 2 external speakers and a subwoofer hooked up to this badboy, but i also have ****** turtlebeaches at the moment planning to update to some sennheiser's. I have a ****** old Sony keyboard from like 1998, planning on getting a razer blackwidow ultimate 2013.

Sleeved cables/cathodes: I was looking for a red and black theme so i went with red individually sleeved cables and red cathodes to really give off that vibe that its a high end machine, because the little things count.

Motherboard: Why'd you get an Asus maximus V Extreme?? -Cause i can

CPU: why'd you get the last generation?? -I like having 5 more pins... it makes me feel special.

RAM: why's you get Corsair vengeance pro 8 G? -Got it like the day it released it was cheap with a promo is i said "hell, might as well." #SWAGYOLO420BLAZEIT

GPU: why's you get a gtx 760? -Like i said i want this beast to rip through whatever i throw at it, although its not that powerful i am planning on getting 2....so suck it.

Case: why'd you get an NZXT Switch? dat ***** hella dank! -I like the sleekness and simplicity of this monster case plus i could put my radiator in it, i like it simple.

Its called Big Bertha cause this thing is ******* massive.

Update fried my damn onboard sound...thanks Obama so now im getting a sound card its now included in the parts list.

How's your PSU like the carpet?

The Switch 810 doesn't actually put the PSU on the carpet. It's a little bit higher than the carpet and you might be able to see that there are also some intake mesh areas. It should be relatively fine.

it stays passive until like 80% load, trust me i had the same worry until i found that out, it doesnt get hot at all it has a good exhaust. Corsair makes really high quality parts.

Simple carpet fix is to go by a finished shelf from Loews and slide it right under to pick the PC up off the floor.

$7.48 cheap fix.

Yeah, I would definitely get that case off direct carpet. Maybe throw some cardboard or something under it. You're going to starve your PSU for air and it may damage something. Other than that, I like the build. How are you liking that mouse? What kind of games do you play? I was thinking about something along those lines.

the mouse is ok i would go with the 2013 deathadder, cause it has rubber on the sides so it doesnt get slippery when your hand sweats (mines does alot, cause im so MLG pro). And i play alot of fps, dota 2, and RPG's. the mouse has about 3 buttons you can reprogram so its nice enough for me, since i dont play MMO's.

why did you go through all of the trouble of getting really high end things (the motherboard with 4 FRIGGEN PCIE SLOTS) and you only got 1 tb of HDD space, HDD! no SSD and only 1TB... at least you shouldve gotten a 32gb SSD for windows

Sexy red!! Try to put her on a flat, hard surface or your PSU is going to sofocate. As an old friend of mine uses to say "Let her breath" hehehe. Congrats!
