UPDATES! UPDATES! UPDATES! Yes, I have transformed my budget build into something that I really enjoy to look at, work, and play. Now, I initially started out with the i5-6500, 1060 GPU, 550W Power Supply, 8 GB RAM, and a 25' Ultra wide screen monitor. But, after discussing some things with my business partner (wife) LOL! We felt that the next upgrades should be made for the sake of my personal training business, for video/editing purposes and gaming. Therefore, I decided to go with the following;

*i5-6600K CPU: It will serve me greatly for gaming and editing. Plus wasn't to bad on my pockets.

*PNY Anarchy 16GB DDR4-2133 RAM: Looked nice, good cost, and I needed to go up from 8 GB.

*MSI GeForce GTX 1070 GPU: Most definitely wanted this card. Why? bc it has very cool temps, plus it looks great. It was either this or the 1080 one and I can wait on that one right now. LOL!

*EVGA SuperNOVA 750W Power Supply: I felt like I needed to go up in power to be safe is the only reason for this purchase. Just being honest!

*LG Electronics UM95 34UM95C Monitor: WOOOOOOOOOO! I'm just in awe still about this monitor. very, very, very nice design and crisp look to it. Glad I spent the bulk of my money here bc it was well worth it.

***MISC Items: Letton Gaming Headphones, C920 Logitech HD Pro Webcam, Black Panther mini action figure, and Big Figs Action figure.

In conclusion, this build has been a great experience. I've had moment where I have completely forgot to do something and had to start over to getting things right without even having doubts. I'm now more confident and look forward to doing my wife's build also. Thanks for checking the update progression. I like that build a lot! Its pretty similar to mine, bought all parts but monitor, gonna build soon. My guess is that watercooling for i5 6500 is a bit too overwhelming, but on the other hand it looks cool and its cooling is cool-)). Your system is called black panther, my then would be called White Phoenix LUL

Awesome name for your build. Yes, the watercooling is a bit much, but I wanted to make sure things were good on the inside and it does look cool too. LOL! I will be doing some upgrades though in the near future bc some parts will be going to my wife's first PC.

Out of curiosity, does that mobo have LED headers?

Frogg_Tough26 submitter 2 Builds 1 point 28 months ago

No, I should have checked before I purchased it, but it's fine. I'm going to put it in my wife's build anyway. LOL! I'll just get her some pretty lights on the fans.

That looks like a pretty snug fit with your 1060. Or is that something on the case?

Everything fits perfectly actually. The cooler is big though, but it does fit nicely. My GPU also fits in well....Overall, I'd recommend this case. But I do want the Corsair 740.

Don't forget to buy a bigger case when you get your motherboard for the i7 :)

Hey how are the headphones? Are they good for fps games?

Frogg_Tough26 submitter 2 Builds 1 point 28 months ago

Awesome headphones. I saw a lot of other youtubers talking about them...So I looked them up for a review and was very pleased.

Which case did you used on this build? Curious because I don't have too many space for a mid tower in my room. Or if you can recommend cases for this build that would help me a lot as well!

On this build, I used a Mini Phanteks Enthoo....It worked well for a smaller case.
