I'm using this for gaming at 4k, AutoCad, Autodesk Inventor, and 3D design.
4790K + high-end cooler without an overclocking motherboard?
and why a atx mid tower for a matx board?
I originally had a smaller case and just recently got this case, I had a thermaltake chaser case before this.
My 4790K is over clocked to 4.8Ghz. Next time I get some extra money It's going into a new mobo.
Downclock that cpu to stock speeds asap, it doesn't even have a VRM heatsink and only 3 power phases. Hell I don't even recommend overclocking a cpu like a i7 on a motherboard with 4 power phases with a weak VRM heatsink. This is how you kill a motherboard.
Because on some B85 boards you can OC with them I'm guessing? I know that when I was looking at a cheap PC and was thinking the G3258, I was looking at some B85 boards because they can OC
Ia Dagon. Ia Hydra.
One thing to fix the sag a bit would be to route the 8 pin cable up and over the card rather than directly under it.
Thanks, I'll try it and get back to you on that!
I redid the two 8 pins and it did seem to help a tad.
Cool, glad it worked for you.
I was very impressed with this and I'm not sure myself but maybe i just got lucky and got a higher binned one?
