Description

Hey guys , i did this build a while back but i was busy and just could not find the time to post it so here it is . Chose the name only because most of the parts are from Phanteks , case and all the blocks . And of course , after so many builds I ran out of ideas how to name it lol . This build happen mostly because I was sick of worring about temps , that after few months after i build it keep rising and mostly because not enough airflow or not enough cool air for the fans pushing/pulling through the rads . So I decided to go big and got this huge case that have plenty of space for everything and anything .

Had to do some modification and add a metal back plate so i can install the pumps and reservoirs cause i want it to save the factory plates in case i have the problems and have to return the case . Also , had to drill the holes in different places and that would not look good .

I chose 8700 and 1080ti`s over the next gen because that is plenty of power for everything that i need it for and i already spen a lot on the case .

I really like how it turned out and im very happy with temps . The cpu temps are never over 50 C and gpus stay on 55-60 top when i`m gaming wich is mostly what i do .

Btw , i tried two option . One with Gskill RAM and black and silver sleeved cables and the other one is with Corsair Dominator RAM and black&white cables . Let me know what you like it more .

I wont be doing any parts rewievs since everybody knows them already and nobody will read it anyway so check the pics and let me know what you think . Let me know if you have any questions and i hope you like it .

Have you ever done a custom loop, poet? (btw it's mxk, hi!)

No. I might do one for fun one day.

I'm sure you'd kill the game with it and the pictures. I'd love to see you go for it.

Hiw much did it cost for ll of those rgb fans? They typically arent cheap, and you have a bunch of them! Great Build!

  • 1 point

Thank you , i only have 4 of the 120mm rgb’s . The rest is just white ml 140mm .

Looks amazing. Great work. Out of the two, I think the dominator ram setup looked best

+1 simply because I refuse to call these the typically mundane computers as we know them as the effort and value here is better defined as "monstrocious pieces of mechanical art". Considering it works as a computer too, that's an added bonus. (yep a flawed perspective but the eye-candy first impressions suffice)

Thanks bro , i like that “Monstrocious pieces of mechanical art “ lol .

Very nice build! I definitely like the Dominator Ram/set up better. If you look at my build I just completed bout a month ago you'll see why.

Thanks . I agree and yeah I saw what you mean :)

I know the case of huge and looking at it probably sorts two systems simultaneously, but why does it cost over $1 000 (CAD)

  • 1 point

Its huge and yeah you can build 2 systems in it . All steel sand blasted and its 3 times the weight then normal case .

  • 1 point

Price seems more reasonable.

  • 1 point

How much was the water cooling system? Don't see the prices on the list.

Around $1100 , sorry I was lazy to do all the pricing .

How is that case alone more expensive than some builds...

  • 2 points

Yeah... it's pretty overpriced. It's a very nice case but...damn Phanteks, lighten up.

  • 2 points

I agree , its very expensive but i though if it looks good i’ll use it and if not i’ll return it , amazon will take it back . When i opned the case i was stunned how beautiful and big this thing is so i decided to keep it . The bad thing about the case is “Its HEAVY” wow i can barelly move this thing . All in all , worth the money imo .

You need Trident Z Royal for a machine that good lol nice job looks great.

  • 1 point

I have seen it , love that RAM . Maybe next build , thanks for the compliment .

I wouldn't get Royal as the gemstones cover up the LED's but that's just me

Did you use whole or skim milk to cool the CPU? Jk This build looks amazing. Great job!

  • 1 point

LOL , I like that , Thank you so much .

  • 1 point

I get, that it comes with a ton of features, but how on earth is the pricetag on that case so freaking high?

  • 1 point

Nice build. I always like the more monochromatic builds, even though I've yet to do one myself. They tend to look more elegant and professional. The DOM Plats definitely more it look more premium. Of course, if you prefer to use the RGB colors more, than the GSKILL ram brings that.

Only issue I have, and it is really just my OCD, is the one 45 degree angle of the CPU to top RAD tube run. Everything else being nice and squared off and 90 degree bends just makes this one scream at me. I probably would have ran it more as an L out of the top rad and then back to the CPU block; but again, that is just my OCD and nothing else.

  • 1 point

Lol I hear you . I got in to a rough spot with that bend and just didn't have any nerves left to deal with it so I left the way is now . The main reason was the fittings that I just could not find to fit with the length and bend but still look good . Its kind of hard for me to explain it but trust me I tried many different bends and positions with it . At the end this was the most simple and better looking imo lol . Also I though about using the less tube possible due to showing more of the parts . To be honest I hate when people use lots of tubing that you cant see the beautiful parts that they have inside their rigs . Check my Red Silencer build and you`ll know what im talking about . That build was ok for my first costume loop but now I don't like it at all . Thanks for the comment , it looks like you know what you talking about :) really pro .

  • 1 point

Did you build this because you forgot you had that other computer sitting in the background? If so, +1

  • 2 points

Lol no I build this rig before that one . I use that one for VR oculus only and mostly my girlfriend is on it playing space games . To be honest I build that one cause I want it to sell it and leave the money for the next bad *** rig in the future but I decided to keep it and used for The VR Oculus . Thanks for the +1 tho :)

This is great but the Dominator RAM gives it a cleaner look imho.

  • 1 point

I agree .

  • 2 points

Thanks, personally I always find it a fine line before it starts getting LED/RGB overkill vs clean. Kind of like a overly "riced-out" car but to each his own or else it'd all be boring.

  • 1 point

Dude... Why would you spend almost $1,000 on the case alone that makes no sense

  • 1 point

So you haven't done any overclocks?

  • 1 point

Yes , 7700 K to 5.0GH . not the gpu`s tho .

  • 1 point

7700k, or 8700k?

Sorry my bad , 8700K . Also Its delidded .

It is huge , 29.50" x 10.60" x 24.20" Its around 100 lb`s with all the stuff in it . Really heavy .

+1 but, why 1080 ti's I would have saved and gotten an i9 9900k and 2 2080 ti's in sli

  • 3 points

He said it was plenty enough for him.

  • 2 points

Exactly .

  • 1 point

Oh woops, didn't read dsc

  • 2 points

Those upgrades alone would probably be close to 2x the cost of what he spent. Its not like we're talking another saving another 10%-20% for newer gen hardware.

Much wiser choice to spend 1/2 the cost if it checks all the boxes for what you need now and for a few years to come.

  • 1 point

I agree .

  • 1 point

good point, but if you read what I said... I would have saved up, and about $1500 isnt double (the gpu prices aren't included and those are both like $700)

  • 1 point

If you read, he got the GPUs for $800 total. Two 2080 TIs would be $2600+. So you are looking at an additional $1800 for the GPUs + an additional $200 for the CPU. So $2000 vs just $1200 for those parts is "close to double".

If given the choice between 2 1080 TIs for $800 or two 2080 TIs for $2600....I think the choice is pretty obvious unless $$$ is irrelevant.

I'm guessing RTX was not available when he built it.

  • 1 point

could be that

  • 1 point

I think i would still go for 1080 ti’s cause of price . Got these gpu’s for $400 brand nee from a friend . He never used them . But yeah it was not available at the time of build .

  • 1 point

$400 each or total??
