Description

I decided to build it after my prebuilt acer aspires mobo died so some parts are recycled from it this is my first build its mainly for gaming and netflix everything works really well and its able to play crysis 2 and lol on max settings

The parts:

Cpu: i picked the 4770k because it was fast easy to overclock and i got it for a good deal

cooler: I just wanted something better than stock and for possiby overclocking in the future

Motherboard: I just wanted something that runs cooler and lasts long

Ram: I just got 8 gb because that's all you need for gaming

Hdd: I think ssd are pointless and too overpriced and a regular hdd can boot up almost as fast so that's what I picked

Gpu: I wanted a 770 originally but my local tigerdirect only had 760 in stock so im goin to be stickin with this card for a while tho the next thing i upgrade will be probably the gpu

Psu: I got a modular psu because I like to keep the inside as clean as possible with a long life

Case: aside from it being a full tower I really like it for the looks and for the 2 × 200 mm muli colour fans

(update: i am now using my old galaxy gtx 550 ti as a dedicated physx card and i am getting better performance than i did without it the 760 is now oc as well)

(update #2: i have bought a 770 and sold the 760 so now im able to run everything except bf4 on max)

i used to think SSD's where pointless... until i got one for xmas, you got no idea how much faster they really are compared to mechanical drives.

Nice build though! cable management is decent could use alittle more work but nothing major really.

HDD drives are fairly quick now, but if you compare load times for games, you'll see a huge difference. Take BF4 for instance, a SSD vs HDD is the difference between getting in the match when it starts vs 10 kills in. The prices have come way down. You can get them for about $0.50 a gig.

i only like SSD's for the faster boot time but my pc already boots up in 15 seconds so thats good enough for me and i have done a better job with cable management i havent gotten around to updating the pics

its fine if it works for you, its not going to get ya a -1 not from me anyway there is picky people out there, my SSD i boot up in 7 seconds its epically fast but you got a good build, enjoy it! and that's good that you took another whack at the cable management.

I actually did alittle more to time, everything i clean my PC i always find something to change to make it look that much better, its a habbit of mine lol.

SSDs are the way to go nowadays. Your PC may boot in 15 seconds, but it's probably not useable the second the desktop is available, compared to my system, (7 second boot, password, and go. No waiting).

I will never go back. Ever. Traditional HDDs have come a long way, but still nothing compared to booting with your first SSD.

I almost got that case when I upgraded my rig. Do you like it? Enough room for cables on the side?

I like the case alot but the only problem is that it sticks too far out from my desk and there's lots if room for cable management

Personally I think it might have been a slightly better choice to go for the i5 4670k and put the money saved to get a better GPU, seeing as how your just gaming and watching netflix as your primary usage, but hey your happy with it and it does what you need it to do and there's plenty of room to upgrade down the road and that's great too! +1

I am also using eagle speakers but I forgot to include them in the build and the logitech ones and really good quality. Surprisingly
