Description

Hey Guys, this is just an update that I made to my original Terminator Build. (Here is the link if you wanna see how it was. http://pcpartpicker.com/b/KNL

Basically I had about enough of the Apevia X-Plorer 2 case after about a month. It was just cheaply made and there wasn't good airflow due to no cable management holes. I also wasn't able to take advantage of my USB 3.0 front panel connector on my motherboard. I really am enjoying this Thermaltake case. It has addressed all of the issues I had and more. It is really sleek and "Machine" looking to go with my build theme. I really tried to spend time on the cable management that I finally was gifted with this case, I think I did pretty well, but I'll let you guys be the judges of that.

I also added a nice 140mm fan to my Cooler Master Gemin II. It moves a little more air than the stock 120mm that it comes with and it gives a nice red accent to the case. It was a nice bonus that they messed up on the shipping, so I ended up getting it for free!

The Graphics Card was a Christmas Gift. At the time it was bought for $199.00. Since I didn't buy it I didn't count it towards my total.

Already had the PSU from a previous build.

The next step that I am going to take will be to add the NZXT hue as a light source, I think that will really complete the build.

As per the original posting, this machine runs really great and has played any game that I have thrown at it including some extensive BF4 play. If you have any questions feel free to ask. If you want to know why I chose any of my parts, feel free to look at my previous build linked above. It has all of the details about why I chose the different pieces.

Once again, thank you to PCPartPicker, would have never done this with out their help, the compatibility and wattage screens are especially nice. Hope you guys like ... THE TERMINATOR.

I love the processor, probably the best price to performance you can get!! The 750k is great too, almost got it.

Nice build, and at a wonderful price.

If you want LEDs in your case you could think about led controllers off of amazon or newegg. I have one and the are 16.7 feet and have a wireless remote. Its more diy then the NZXT hue, but i think its cooler.

Did the 140mm fan change your temps? And did you have to drill new holes in the Gemin to make than fan mod work? I used a Gemin in my sons build, and was looking for other options to lower his temps... take a look at his current set up. http://pcpartpicker.com/b/OsV

I didn't need to use the outside holes on my Gemin the 140mm fan that I got actually mounts in 120mm holes. Here, take a look, you can also get it in several different colors. https://pcpartpicker.com/part/phanteks-case-fan-phf140hprd
