So I built this computer to play games...specifically Minecraft. Just kidding. My old PC was really crappy had a HD 7770 and some dinky AMD processor. I was in desperate need of a new PC in general and with the release of Forza Horizon 3 coming up, I just had to do it. I play a bunch of games, I own over a thousand with my two steam accounts combined and now I can finally play those demanding games that have just been collecting virtual dust in my library. I guess I should write why I chose each part now, so here it goes:
Core i5 6600k: I chose this because it had great reviews and I really don't plan on doing a whole bunch of overclocking, not sure if I really want to. It is working great and can handle everything I throw at it.
Cryorig H7: Why did I choose this over the 212 Evo? It is black and white. Also the 212 Evo is ugly as butt. Keeps my CPU at nice temperatures and when playing games it has only gone up to 42 Celsius.
Arctic Silver: Why don't people use this? Works amazing mates.
MSI Krait Gaming: Looks beautiful and has really nice ports that are easy to access. Easy to use as well. I think I plugged everything in properly :P
G.Skill Ripjaws: So firstly, I really wanted 16GB of RAM. I wanted to get some Crucial LT Sport in white but they were out of stock for weeks and I just got tired of waiting. I just chose it because it was close enough to white.
SSD: I've had this thing for a year or two and it works great. I removed the sticker because red is ugly and doesn't work with a black and white theme.
HDD: Just took it out of my old PC. Works fine.
MSI GeForce 1070: I did plan on waiting for the aftermarket RX 480s to come out but I got impatient and I don't regret it. My old GPU could barely hit 60fps on Rocket League on performance settings. This runs it on high quality at 300fps with ease. It's also black and white, which is beautiful.
NZXT S340: It is bloody beautiful. Really nice case, has plenty of room for cable management and the capability to hide the HDD and PSU while showing off the SDD is amazing. It also comes with two fans and the motherboard standoffs pre-installed which was to my surprise.
EVGA G2 550W: I don't need much power and plus the cables are already sleeved. Its also fully modular so I don't have unnecessary wires everywhere. Well actually if I switched the Hue+ and my SSD I could remove a SATA cable from the PSU. Whatevs.
NZXT Hue+: I want to make rainbows, just like skittles.
It's dank yo. I wish I could underline and bold but I guess there is no underline function :'(
