Description

The part list doesn't include 2 bitfenix red LED strips and 1 white strip and corsair custom sleeved red power supply cables and $100 for them too assemble it. It was a perfect time too buy cause all the major components are newley released.

The entire pc is carefully color matched black and red , from the fans and cables down too the video cards. It runs real nice and i have no regrets. What you think?

Need more pictures of interior please! Looks like it COULD be amazing but I can't SEE it. Great parts list over 11 terabytes of storage and sli 980s looks like some serious money went into creating this bad chicken!

Hey guys its 1 year and a few months since i got this bad boy and its still running strong. My only gripes is i cant run everything on 4k at ultra settings at 60 fps , usually about 40 to 50 fps on games like witcher 3 , Dark souls 3. Also i made the mistake of getting multiple smaller 3tb 7200 rpm and 1 5200 rpm 4tb when i shoulda got multiple 6tb. And lastley i paid $550 for the rampage extreme only for another rev 2 with usb 3.1 too come out right after. Oh and not too mention i paid $380 for 16gb DDR4 ram wich is now $120 lol.

So should i get the GTX 1080 sli directly when it comes out and move the 2 980's too my HTPC or should i wait for the GTX 1080 Ti and sli it?

why two 980s? 3 970s should outperform them for the same cost as far as I know, pretty sure MSI makes 970s with same color scheme

But think about it, considering how much he's already spent he easily can put in another 980 and then it will most certainly be faster than 3 970's, and he has enough headroom with his psu.

980s are just too overpriced, for that price you could get an r9 295x2, or titans

GTX Titans start at about $1k each and 2 GTX 980s in SLI will smoke anything except maybe a Titan Z

not for 4k,they only have 4GB VRAM models for desktop currently

http://gpuboss.com/gpus/Radeon-R9-295X2-vs-GeForce-GTX-TITAN-Z Titan Z comes out slightly ahead according to this. It seems to depend on the exact benchmarks since I can find reviews that say Radeon wins.

Either way it is close enough to choose based on price, in which case Radeon wins quite handily
