Description

My wife was in need of a new computer so i decided i would build her one that will last her for quite a while. One that will be lightning fast and does not give her any issues. She does not game so there was no need for a huge graphics card, i just wanted something mid-range that could support two or more monitors. Just wish the card was longer so i didn't have such a long power cable running across the case, but oh well. With 32gb of ram, she can have as many windows open as she needs to, and with the M.2 solid state hard drive windows and all of her programs will open extremely fast. I wanted to do a push pull on the h110i, but it was too wide to add the second set of purple LED fans. This is the first build I have ever customized the case. I took the case completely apart and painted the cage white to match the outside, and i painted the grills purple to give it some contrast. I will post pictures of it light up shortly. Thanks for checking out my build.

Update - I have added images with lights and fans on, also with a slight overclock, the CPU us at 4.5Ghz and the cooler is keeping everything nice and cool at 28c... I could Prob bump that up to 4.8 and still be good... We will see.

I love Air 540 builds. I like the interior white out. nicely done. +1 How d you like the front panel right side and how it is mounted. I hate it but haven't put in time on fixing it yet.

This build makes literally no sense to me.

  • Overkill PSU
  • Ridiculous cooler on the medicore CPU.
  • You spend way too much money on RAM.
  • You also spent too much on (bleh) case fans.

+1 for AMD

You are entitled to your opinion, but will not have to do anything to this PC for years to come... I will not have to buy ram for the life of this computer. I wanted a processor that had speed out of the box instead of high number of cores so this one will do exactly what I need it to. As far as the cooler and PSU, I will not need to upgrade either one when I decide to upgrade the processor to a 8370 or even a 9370 when the prices drop, or get a bigger and better graphic card. This PC has it where it counts. and where I need it. As far as the fans, not the most expensive, but good purple LED fans, that will keep the case cool. Thanks!

8370 and the 9370 are both terrible options. Go with an 8300 and overclock it for the same performance.

You should state in the description that this is supposed to be a futureproofed build.

Aren't all PC Builds Future Proof Builds? At least they should all be.

Team RED FTW! +1 I personally think the FX-6300 would have been a better choice at that price point! Overall though a very nice rig.

How hard was it to paint the inside white?

With this case not hard at all... everything was connected to the frame with screws, so everything came off easily. I just painted it with a couple of light costs of white primer and then a few coats of white paint. and let everything dry for at least 24 hours before putting everything back together.

AyyMDMasterRace was rough! ouch. He does make good points though, regardless... very nice build man.

when the most expensive component in your PC is your ram followed by your power supply...
