Description

This was my first build after using a laptop for gaming for almost a year... I love the way this PC runs so far, its great for gaming and can run anything ive thrown at it so far, Ive had absolutely 0 problems, it looks slick, its lightweight (for a built desktop that is) and it stays nice and cool, every time ive felt up the case and parts while shes been running games, it remains cooler than the inside of my house... i gotta say i feel i did really well with this build on a budget and im happy to be showing it off to the rest of the world. :)

Great first build, although I hope you didn't pay that much for a GTX 650... it would have been a smarter investment to get a 260x or for a little bit for money, a 750 Ti. Still an awesome build for being your first though. +1

Get the 750 ti instead of the 650. You can also get faster ram for a few bucks more, and get the Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB is has a really good warranty on it.

Doubt he just bought the 650. It's an old card.

Says DATE BUILT on June 16, 2015. Yes it's an old card but then again if this was built a week ago, I do wonder why something else wasn't accumulated despite this was mention as a budget build.

If prices were preset in the part list, the reason would be self explanatory but better if we saw some prices and a slight extra of information as to how he or she obtained the GPU.

Its probably a little late to be commenting on this almost 2 years later... But it was 2gb VRam and its actually a really good card. Some of the newer games like Wildlands require a bit more than what it gives, but I didnt know much about computers at the time, I'm still using it and very happy with the GPU I chose and I "obtained" it by buying it along with the rest of this build by going through PCpartpicker.

For a first build im happy with what i got.. shes running great and holds all the games ive tested really well, i was on a budget and was already far past that so there is no "For a few more bucks" but i appreciate the help :)

Glad you're happy with it! Curious though, why you went with an i5 and a GTX 650 combination?

I understand that. I feel like you could have gotten more performance for your money. But hey, it's already built so no worries.

Build looks good, though I've heard poor remarks about Xigmatek cases. How did the build go for you in that case?

I LOVE the case.. it looks really cool, its nice and sturdy, lightweight, i love the front LED's that came on it and with a good LED case fan it looks even better in the front (as shown in my pictures) Im happy with the case ive chosen but as this is my first build i dont really have any other cases to compare it to :)
