Description

First time ever building a PC and I'm pretty happy with the outcome. It's main purpose is for gaming however I also use it when I work from home. Was previously using a prebuilt lenovo y710 gaming cube but needed an upgrade as I was beginning to struggle with the latest releases.

Update 15/01/19:

Added more SSDs

Part Reviews

CPU

Miles better than the i5 6400 I used to have, managed to get this baby to reach 4.0ghz with next to no effort.

CPU Cooler

Keeps the 1700x nice n cool even during the heaviest vidya gam sessions

Motherboard

Pretty good motherboard, nice red LED on the corners that go with the rest of the build. BIOS nice and easy to use.

Only criticism is that as a first time builder I had to refer to the manual a lot as pins aren't labelled like you find on other motherboards.

Memory

RAM's RAM. It works, overclocked it to 2667Mhz.

Storage

Was the main hard drive in my Lenovo Y710, wiped it and is now used to hold recordings from shadowplay/streams

Storage

slaps roof of HDD

This bad boi can hold so many god damn vidya gamz

Video Card

The 2080 was out of budget so I had to settle for this. I'm pretty happy with this card, it happily supports my ultrawide monitor, fans keep it nice and cool, only downside is the RGB lighting on the side doesn't work.

Case

Wanted this case for ages, finally cracked and bought it. Nice n easy case to build in, cable management system in the back works miracles.

Case Fan

Using this on my radiator, keeps thing nice n cool and the LEDs are a nice touch,

Monitor

Bought this for my old PC, had it spare so now I use this as a second monitor.

Monitor

Wanted an ultrawide monitor for a while, ended up buying one. Couldn't be happier.

Hey, I don't know if you're still having trouble with the LEDs on the 2070, but on MSI's forums, one of the Mods posted a link to an updated version of Mystic Light and that version works just fine for me. Just make sure you uninstall any other version of it.

Gaming with an Nvidia card have you noticed any issues?
