Description

Hi all, this is my second build the last one being about 4 years ago. I built it mainly for gaming and watching blu-rays.

I will probably upgrade to a 2nd graphics card in crossfire eventually once I have seen how well it performs. I did pretty well on the price and got it for £125 brand new from a friend :)

I marked the Thermaltake cooler down 1 star due to the installation instructions being pretty rubbish, but performance wise I really can't complain. I'm currently looking into why one of my cores generally idles around 9 Degrees C while the rest are between 20 and 29 degrees C, and under 100% load they are between 37 and 47 degrees C which seems pretty good to me considering the 2 fans are turned down to the lowest setting.

Not overclocked anything yet but hoping to soon once I feel confident I know what I'm doing.

I will upload some pics soon I know from reading everyone's comment cable management is important, so just want to tidy the last few stray cables out of the way.

Any question feel free to ask.

Very well balanced build. You could've went with a smaller PSU though.

PSU is marked as free, that's likely to be relevant. Spark, tell us more?

Thanks. I took the PSU from my previous rig so I didn't need to buy that hence the price £0. It's the non modular version which is a bit of a pain but couldn't justify paying out for a new one. I think when crossfired the watts go up to about 600w if I remember correctly, so am easily covered.

Why did you mark Fractal case down to 4 stars?

It's a lovely case and looks great but the 2 side panels are a pain to get back on especially the one with all the cables going up it. It's also fastened on with screws 2 on each side on the back.

Thanks. The card has been good so far don't think I've seen temps above 65 degrees when Ive had gpu temp running and very quiet also.

Has anyone got any thoughts on why one of my cores is running such low temps? It was down at 2 degrees C this morning while the others where at about 20, any colder and it will start to get frost on it lol

I think they are one of the biggest companies in Europe from what I have read, in the graphics card Industry. I hadn't really heard a lot about them before either. Card came with 2 free games as well Tombraider and Bioshock so great deal really even at full price.

Ye I was more than happy with the price.Hopefully he will be able to do me a similar deal on a second one, if I decide to crossfire.
