Description

I originally built this in 2014 and used it for a year. I then sold the original GTX 750 that was in it a while back and the rest of it was sitting in the closet forgotten. I decided to get a 4GB Radeon RX 560 when I luckily saw one for $150 on Newegg and rebuild this little low-end gaming PC. I'm wanting to see how the dual core Pentium fares with titles today.

Part Reviews

Storage

Pretty fast SSD. Boot times are very quick.

Case

It's an okay case. The mesh is good for airflow. The things I don't like are the cooler height limitation and side bracket. It's a pain to remove and re-install. If I had to re-do this build, I would go with the Fractal Design Core 500.

Power Supply

I've had this for a few years and it's always worked like it should. No complaints.

Optical Drive

It works good for burning discs, but it rips music CD's very slowly.

looks pretty good, planning on building in this or the Elite 110, dunno if I need a disk drive so having it more compact would be better if I plan on taking it with me on in suitcases etc.

I had the Elite 110 once, it wasn't bad and had decent airflow but the GPU length was restricted so the "Mini" cards were the only option.

Neat! Looks like a great contender for an htpc!

Looks like a great contender for an htpc!

That's a good idea. I might do that someday when I get more storage.
