Description

Hey guys,

Just built this baby. Sorry for the poor picture quality. I built it in one night and it's my first build..... Cable management could be better yes.. But before you say anything there was no way to get the CPU cable to the CPU any other way with this case =(. Anyway's, only mistake (as far as I know) that I made was trying to put the cpu cooler on, when it didn't fit I took it off and spilt thermal paste all over the damn motherboard lol. If you guys have any tips please feel free to state what I could do better! Also the fan in my power supply turns off at low usage.... I had no idea and was freaking out until I read the box.... Derp. Finally Please be nice this is my first build and I don't care for people telling me how ****** I did but constructive criticism is fine!

One Question: I have only plugged in ONE of the fans on my CPU cooler. its the one closest to the top exhaust fan. There was no plugin for the other fan on the other side. Is this normal? Or should I buy some sort of extender to plug this fan in?

What I have learned: I am a terrible photographer also am capable of dumb mistakes like not taking the sticker off the copper plate on the cpu cooler.

But anyway, quite nice little gaming build you got there, probably the best for the price. Really nothing bad about the parts, Never seen than case before, but i would've went with a mid-tower since a full tower is not needed, and that would also make you able to wire the CPU 8 pin behind the motherboard tray

How's that case anyway? DId you read some reviews and got it? Or was it just because it looked good? Because i seem to not be able to find a review of this case.

the 770 is a great card for the money, probably the best if you want a high end card but you're on a budget that's not more than 1500usd

How's that SSD treating you? Working well?

Good you didn't go ham, in ram, a lot of people get 16 gb for gaming, and that's pretty useless.

Are you planing to OC? You probably can't get a real good one with that cooler, but a decent one should be in range.

But yeah overall great build, work on your cable management, since that's somewhere there's always room for improvement, nice first build

Happy computing.

Hey, So starting with the case.... Basically it was 85$... Looks great, certain parts feel a bit cheap for sure. But all around was a great buy for the money because everything works! Cable management wasn't too bad but since its my first build I guess it was good?

I actually bought a different SSD: OCZ vertex 4 2013. It seems to be doing great but literally all I have done so far is load windows onto the drive.

I am planning to OC. Yea I bought that cooler in mind for that, I didn't want a real great one anyways. I don't have the proper knowledge yet to trust myself with a high overclock.

Thanks for your input and advice.

Guess you can get a decent OC with that cooler, and hope the new SSD works out for you, why did you swap the ssd's? Vertex 4 is a great SSD, they're just expensive if i recall correctly.

Well yeah guessed so with the case since it's not a famous brand, doesn't mean it's bad tho. still think a good mid-tower would've suited you better.

Well yeah Good luck with all and hope all is working as intended.

You can get a fan splitter cable to plug in both fans. Costs about $4: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812162026

thanks! I think I will just pick one of those up from a local store after work though since shipping costs so much in Canada!

Ehmm Why does it only have one, when the z77 d3h has 2. Or, I'm quite postive it has 2, maybe i'm thinking of the ud3h, FOR A FACT I CAN TELL THAT MY asus z77-pro has 2!

That's a plus, but yeah, just get a fan splitter, but i find it strange i doesn't come with a fan splitter when it's a dual fan one, since every mobo doesn't have 2.

It has two.... But they are both in the same place. And the fan cables on this particular cooler are on two separate sides making one of them impossible to plug in.

That mobo only has 1 CPU fan..quite shocking to me. I assumed this was a common feature on all mobo over $100. My $100 ASRock mobo has this.

Ya I know right? Anyway's going to go buy the dual fan adapter after work so I can get both of them going.

You don't need a fan splitter:

There are 2 fan plugs there. One is black and the other white. The black on on the top, is the optional one for a second CPU fan.

Please double check this before you buy anything.

Yea I know :(, the only problem is; the fan connector for the fan that is currently off is on the other side and cannot possibly reach to the connector you described in this picture.

OH! Ok, then the splitter is your best option. :)
