Description

I know, I know...the cables look like a cluster@#$k. But I'm probably replacing them with threaded cables whenever I get paid next, so they are only temporary. I have the two 2TB drives in Raid0 as my mass storage for my Steam library. The EVO is crazy fast and the system boots in a matter of seconds!! I have to get a fan hub, so the Corsair fans haven't been mounted yet either. Also on my list is a good gaming monitor. I'll have to do my research (as I do with just about everything), because I want at least 120hz and preferably between 24" to 27". Overall, the system can barely be heard, even when I fired up Skyrim for an hour yesterday. Let me know what you think and I also will be taking more pics when the sun comes up, so I have better lighting.

Update 1/18/14 - The Hulk is no more. I have transferred most of the components over to an Ncase M1 and sold off the ones that wouldn't fit.

This build is exactly what I was planning to get :O What is this sorcery?! :O +1 dude :) and if you want better cable management check this channel called SingularityComputers on youtube, he has some neat tricks (although it seems quite painstakingly long) Best of luck :)

Very nice build, mate. Component wise, it's very similar to what I'll be replacing my G74 with, when it dies, as my portable gaming rig (I travel a lot for work and spend a lot of time in work camps). Although I'll probably be going with the Fractal Design Node 304, as I want a rig that will fit into a duffel bag, monitor and all.

Seeing as it's a M-ITX build and you've got a closed loop on the CPU, as long as you're getting cool air to the GPU, I wouldn't worry worry too much about the cable management. Just do what you can, it's pretty damned hard to do a perfect job in those small-*** cases (especially if you have hands the size of mine).

Almost exact same build I'm thinking of. What's your fan set up? I see you have the H90 on the back I assume exhausting? What about the top two fan spaces?

I need to get a fan hub, but I think I'll do the top two as intake. I has my Corsair quiet fans waiting to go.

Nice choices on the build. The hale82s aren't the best PSUs and the newer versions haven't been reviewed by anyone (hardwaresecrets, johnnyguru, etc.) so I'm not sure where they stand. For $99 you could have gone with seasonic, xfx, or a higher end corsair which are definitely top quality PSUs. But overall, nice build.

I just fell in love with the looks of this PSU. Works good so far.

Problem is your only gauge for it working good so far is whether it turns on. If it has problems with voltage regulation or ripple suppression, you could be damaging your parts or not getting the best overclocks.

Whats the color of the PSU? I need one that can fit the theme of my build. White FTW(Not racist, just need to be the opposite of someone I am turning into. And I don't like taking in heat, because black absorbs heat/traps it. Science FTW)

It's white. No problems with it at all.

how's that graphics card working out for you?

Not bad at all. It does run kinda on the hot side with intense gaming. I have bought an EKWB water block for it and will eventually do a loop after Christmas blows over.

Yes it is. I don't have WaW, but it does very well with newer games, so I guess it could handle it with no trouble.

Not sure what your budget is for a monitor but here's the monitors filtered down to 120/144hz monitors : http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/monitor/#qq=1&h=144,120&sort=a9

Nice build man, take a peek at mine when you get the chance!

That is a pretty sweet build you have there. I like the triple monitors. May have to do that eventually.

Get a BenQ 2420t. It's the only 120hz monitor I and many pro CS players would recommend.

That's the one I'm probably getting. Tigerdirect has it for $299 right now.
