Description

Some of the parts don't match, as they are older pieces handed down. Chose the closest components I could find.

Changed from an Antec 900 case to a Corsair 330R as I don't game as much anymore, and the machine is mostly used for office work with some occasional gaming. It is much more silent, and I prefer the toned down look over the "flashy" gaming look in my office. Airflow is good once the top cover is removed.

The Killer NIC built into the motherboard gave me nothing but troubles (driver issues), so I got a cheapo PCIe NIC instead. Corsair H100i water cooler fits in nicely with my new case, and I'm using the MSI motherboard's Overclock Genie to automatically overclock- I think around 4.0Ghz?

Man, I googled that keyboard and holy crap, it does go for $800 new. Who spends $800 on a bloody keyboard? Hell, a while back I was going to spend $450 on that A-10c HOTAS (I was really into DCS), and I though that was a lot. Wow, I did not see that coming...

it was a birthday present a few years back. i think it was $100 at the time. don't know why they don't sell it anymore- it's a great keyboard. especially like the fact you can detach the numpad.

Bought it myself a few years ago on sale from amazon for $60. Only problem i've run into is the paint has worn off of the S key

Yep, the paint on mine has worn off as well. The ASDF MN keys are all gone. MS really cheaped out on the paint. If anyone knows where to buy replacement keys, I'd buy them in a heartbeat. Love the keyboard.

Use a stencil and either white-out or a paint marker (not the wax type). That's how I added Russian characters to my old keyboard back when I was trying to learn it. Although I did etch the characters in first, and it was a fairly cheap keyboard, but they're still there, and this was five years ago.

Nice build for the price, what FPS do you get in most games?

I'm getting around mid 40s all the way to 60fps for most games with the eye candy turned up. I need to lock vsync otherwise I get terrible screen tearing. I don't know if that's the monitor's fault or what...
