Description

Built this for some serious AI/ML number crunching, and gaming in VR. PSU is way overkill until I get a second card. 2080ti are pricey but cheaper than quadros.

That graphics card looks good vertically mounted. Cool build.

Nice build! i just built a similar one using the same case. Quick question, did you notice any difference in temps with the vertical GPU? I have a STRIX 1080 horizontally mounted and it feels like it's blocking the air getting to the CPU. The air below the GPU is freezing but above seems a bit toasty. Otherwise the thermals seem very good with this case, i find that keeping the case fans at medium or low actually gives me better temps than at high.

I did notice a large improvement to the CPU temps when I mounted the card vertically. GPU temps were a little hotter since the bottom case fans aren't blowing on it directly, but the difference was only 2-3 C. Imo it's worth it to mount it vertically and looks better too.

There is indeed space for that, but the front and rear panels are sealed to promote bottom to top "vertical chimney effect" airflow or whatever. Temps are excellent though. GPU never gets hotter then 72C and CPU never gets hotter then 63C when gaming. Its basically a vertical wind tunnel with two large intakes on the bottom and the 3 fan AIO radiator/exhaust on top

Great to hear! I think i'll be buying a riser cable for my GPU this weekend due to your response. I checked out my case with a thermal camera and the results fall in line with what was mentioned earlier. I was getting about 18-20C around and below the GPU and about 25-30C above (tested after about 2 hours of gaming). The GPU absolutely seems to choke the airflow for the top half of the case. I was only measuring the glass on the outside of the case so take this with a grain of salt but i think it makes a good case for a vertical GPU in this case.
