Description

Well I built this mostly to be able to play skyrim with lots of graphic mods but also to let me into the "next gen" gaming cycle and still have room for sli if needed. I had a very small taste of pc gaming and needed more so i took a leap and love it. I already had many older hdd from my laptop and leftovers from fixing ps3 blue ray drive and parting out the rest. I also found a pc that someone threw into the street (poor thing). All the parts still worked but it was crazy old so I just took the hdd and dvd drive out of it. I Had to buy a ide to sata adapter for the dvd drive.

Now I know my cable management could have been better but I dont think its bad enough to worry about. Also if and when I overclock my system I will get a better cooler, but as it is it runs just fine.

The azza case is much nicer than I thought it would be, Very happy with it. The fans have 3 speeds first 2 are not very noisy but the highest setting can be a bit loud. Tones of space inside, many places to run cable through.

I got the wifi/bluetooth card mostly for the dolphin emu so i could use my wii remotes which need bluetooth, and for 35$ you also get wifi on the same card. So not a bad deal and it works great.

Also my color scheme of white and blue was to match my r2d2 xbox 360 and white ps3, thought I would keep it all one color. I even changed the notification sounds to r2d2 sounds lol its great.

A little overkill on the motherboard in my opinion.

Could've dropped that price down to $100 for a motherboard and gotten yourself 16 gigs of ram.

I have never used more than 8 so I just didnt see the need, but if I need more I can always get some. As far as the mother board this is my first rig so I wasnt sure what was really needed as far as the mobo was concerned, I did Plan on Sli and I heard this was a good board for such a thing.

You could have dropped one of those ssd's for a cpu cooler. I don't know why you would need so many ssds?

texasrangerkilla submitter 1 Build 1 point 36 months ago

none of them are ssd, just laptop hhd(7xxx, 5000 rpm). I had a lot sitting around so I decided to use them. I plan on getting a nice cooler one i overclock
