Description

Hi

This is my h60 water cooled mini itx. Used for gaming/ bench-marking / backup.

CASE+++ Antec ISK600 mini itx is nice and compact/ easy to work with/ light weight.

CPU+++ Pentium K for cheap overclocking pleasure. currently running @ 4.5ghz stable but have just started testing @ 4.7/4.8ghz so testing continues!

CPU COOLER+++ Corsair H60 is push pull configuration = silent & effective cooling.

GPU+++ Palit GTX 680 is still a very good card and need blower style for this case.

MONITOR+++ LG23MP75 IPS

The rest are all basic components.

Always nice to see a G3258 build. Every time I see that case go on sale on Frys.com for cheap I always want to get it to mess with it.

Keep an eye on the H60. I'll be returning my second one here shortly.

Only gripe is the power supply. I would've went with a higher quality unit.

Agree, that PSU is WAY too low end for a PC like this, it is only a 324w unit in reality. It is a danger to the PC for sure.

Guys i added the wrong power supply. it's actually a 460w unit that came off a Dell XPS which are decent PSUs. My bad and thanks for the heads up. I will upgrade the XPS PSU anyway.

That Dell PSU has 2 PCI 6-pin connectors? IF so, then it appreas to be a delta built unit and is not terrible. I would still replace it though.

Yes it's a Delta with 2 PCI 6-pin connectors and yes it will be replaced as it's limiting my overclocking.

Cheers

Nice. Glad to hear you are replacing it. Any ideas what with?

What's wrong with the H60?

Cheers

My first unit was extremely loud so I RMA'd it. The second unit has been fine over the last year, but lately my temps will get as high as 55c at idle without an overclock. If you would like, google "Corsair H60 problems" and you can read more testimonials. I personally will be going back to air, but if I would go back to an AIO it would either be a H55 or H100 depending on the need.

My H60 is fine. it's first gen and has been moved from case to case with no problems. Currently my idle temp never passes 35 degrees and is quiet enough and hopefully it lasts.

AIO units can not be opened and maintained so longevity will be an issue with all of them.

Check out my other build for a proper silent AIO.

Love this build. Dual cores are still good for some older games, so I am glad to see it being used.

G3258 is great!/ cheap and cheerful . Runs my current games no problem though like Battlefield Hardline/ Batman: Arkham Knight/ GTA5.

Cheers

Nice build, would have been nice to see batman figurine in every photo tho, like a head in the corner would have been funny :D

the1 submitter 2 Builds 2 points 43 months ago

HAHA that's actually a good idea... photobombing batman project added to to do list!

Iceman320 1 Build 2 points 43 months ago

Glad to be of service :P

I see you're a fan of Batman, what's your favourite Arkham game?
