Description

So far I've only played Arma 3 - Battle Royale mod and Insurgency. Both run great with settings maxed. Temps are the maximum hit during gaming and idle temps after things cool off after.

Fans - Super quiet/very happy - See pictures for snap shots of my curves.
Under normal load the front 2x 140s blow in & 1x 140 blows out the back. When the CPU hits 40C the bottom 2x 120s blow in & the top 2x 140s blow out.

Fan Xpert 3/Asus Motherboard - Why the heck is Fan Xpert 3 not letting me ramp fans below 40% on all headers except the CPU. My guess is they cut corners expect for the CPU fan header.

Case - Generally love it, tons of space, window is hug, & both doors come off easily.
Minor complaint would be the amount of flex where the motherboard mounts. Just be careful and if you really need to push like on the 24 pin, put your other hand on the back to stop it from flexing.

CPU Cooler - I like it and am happy to be water free. One build tip would be to put off installing the CPU cooler until the case is totally wired. I didn't wait and had a hard time working around it. The LP ram fits perfectly, no issues with clearance.

Graphics Card - Works like a charm. There are a lot of videos and posts that it only has 3.5gb ram that are utilized when gaming. I've had no issues and don't understand the hating. The card does sag, a lot. If that would bug you look at my photos before buying.

M65 RGB Mouse - The color change feature is cool. Like the mouse so far, I haven't really used the sniper button much, but it has come in handy for a few really long shots. Using a steelseries mouse pad also very nice.

G19s Keyboard - Again the color change feature is cool. I like the feel of the board and the software is easy to use. It's really really nice to have the extra G keys on the left that you can map differently to 3 different profiles that can be changed with on board buttons.

G35 Headphones - Sound good and mic works great.

I love the part choice!!! But man do I hate those fans lol. They are really good fans, but are the ugliest colors possible. Other than that great build, well, so far lol. Keep posting those pictures

I went with asus solely because of PCDIY (youtube). I liked the in-depth hardware reviews.

This looks great, one reason is because of the Noctua fans. They are very ugly, I know, but they are the best avaliable on the market. These are great. :)

Very nice build however you could have definitely cut costs on a few parts you won't filly utilise if you're simply gaming. Such as knocking down the ram from 16 to 8 and dropping down to a 4690k instead of the i7. Altering a few more parts further to save a couple bucks here and there and you could have gotten a 980 instead of a 970. Overall though a very nice rig.

I REALLY like this build. Have also been looking at the Noctua fans and also this motherboard. Did you have any more comments on the Fan Xpert 3 software and its limitations?

And does the ASUS 970 pair well with the ASUS motherboard or there is no benefit? I am between the ASUS or the MSI video card.

Enjoy your absolutely beautiful build :)

whoops... i somehow never saw this comment. The 970 is really quiet, I don't think it matters that the mobo is asus... it's still nvidia at the core.

Noctua fans do look good in that setting, especially with that goild and brown ASUS mobo. XD
