Description

I use this PC for gaming (of course). I chose the parts by research on each individual part. It took me awhile to choose my parts, but it all seemed to be a comfortable selection for me. Of course this is my first build so it is not perfect. I consider this my newbie build, I had minimal help from any of my 'Master Race' friends who also own Gaming PC's. They thought my choices were great for my price range ($900-$1500) and were also 'optimal'. I call it the $1300 fan because of the price, and it has 7 fans. One fan being the 200mm 1200 RPM front fan, the 150mm rear and bottom fans (that's 3). Then we have the GTX 760 Gigabyte Windforce which has 3 fans built in (now 6). Lastly, the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO's 120mm - 2000 RPM fan & heatsink CPU Cooler.

I'm in shock with this thing anyways, it gets great frame rate playing the latest games. I've done minimal benchmarks but playing DayZ, BF4, Ghosts, CS:GO, GTA IV, ARMA 3, and plenty more games I have noticed high frames averaging around 60-100. Game-play is seamless with this on the highest settings. It's a great first pc in my opinion and I'm glad I upgraded to the Master Race.

My old Asus K52n was great for playing Garry's Mod and... uh.. yeah that was it. (Waste of $600)

Also the three pictures of the actual PC was directly after my friends and I finished building it on my table, it is now moved off of it.. no worries. And I used my old mouse in case any of you noticed it.

I've had no problems with it so far, feel free to correct any of my newbie decisions in the comments!

Nice build, but I think you should put the cables behind the case and use zip ties to make everything a bit neater.

Nice build. Why the Alienware keyboard though? From what I've seen there's really nothing special about it and it's expensive.

I posted the $79 price, but in all honesty I got it off my friend brand new for $45. But I used the online price so I can claim my build is $1300 :P (sorry everyone)

nice case, i recommend that you get an SSD for your boot drive though

Getting on top of that, I was budgeting so SSD wasn't priority.

Solid build, gotta love that gigabyte cooler. I'd argue it's the best on the market.

That keyboard though -- I would really recommend swapping it for a CM storm quickfire rapid at that same price point

I used to have that Alienware keyboard, loved it. Served me through many years of gaming :). Good part choices. Clean case. Looks mean. +1 all day.

I was skeptical at first but it is a great keyboard, color choice is limited but I'm just concerned of being able to see what I'm pressing in the dark.. I had borrow a old keyboard that had no backlights, worst experience of my life haha.

Hell yeah man. Enjoy that keyboard and system. You will get tons of enjoyment out of it! You ever consider a surround headset? It'll keep your parents off your back lol

For the neighbors sake I hope your able to control those fan speeds LOL! you can easily take every fan down to ~900 rpm and it would still run super cool and make a huge difference on noise, but fan noise doesn't bother some people, for me it does ;)

+1 I like it :)

Surprisingly they are very quiet and rarely go above 20% power. According to my local weather channel there was a possibe vortex forming in my neighborhood.. had to turn the fans down.

I probably would of stepped into the vortex in the hopes of being transported to an alternate time line so I could meet my other self and commit crimes while my alternate self would appear in other places to establish a rock solid alibi... but hey im crazy like that ;)
