Description

I built this as my first pc in in about eight years. I've been rocking a chromebook since they hit the market and since I had some extra cash I decided it was time to hang with the cool kids again. It was a breeze to put together and only had a hang up with some drivers for the video card but fixed it with some help from a friend. The front fan on the case wouldn't start up without a little push until I plugged it into the molex from my PSU. It's been taking on games like a champ and I'll be giving some light video editing a shot soon. All the parts seem to be pretty high quality and perform to their specs according to some of the benchmarks I've run plus more connections than what I'll ever need. I'll run GPU temps later when I get a program I like but it's not a common card and I got it for free from a friend. Some day soon I'll probably get one of the new AMD cards that they've been pumping out for cheap. I hope you guys like it!

A 7970 for free, a true friend indeed. Confusing to see a unlocked CPU on a B150 chipset, perhaps a mobo upgrade before a GPU. Also while the power supple is ok, I would upgrade to something a little more reliable. I like the hybrid drive with SSD as boot, smart move.

Oh I owe him a favor or two for sure for that one! I agree with you on the mobo upgrade, the B150 was a rookie mistake on my end. My thoughts right now are that I don't need to OC anytime soon so I'm gonna roll with it until I start to need a little more power. Then when I get a new board it'll be two upgrades in one. As for the drives, they work wonderfully. It boots before my monitors even wake up!

Awesome pc case it looks unique! Btw how does the DIY pc thing work? Can you choose how you want the pc built on the website or?

DIYPC is the brand of the case, I put everything together myself. It's a pretty good value for the case, I'm pretty sure I could sit on the thing haha. You should definitely check them out, its a smallish company and have good reviews all around

Hey nice build overall! I was just wondering how your CPU/GPU combo was working in games!? Once again, great build!

Thank you! I'm super happy with how everything is working out. All games (Overwatch, FC Primal, Witcher 3) are chugging along at high settings for hours at a time. So far no complaints
