Description

Hey guys , in the past I would always buy my pieces and pay someone to build it for me. Now I decided it was time to try and build it myself.

I'll use this pc to play poker and some gaming and heavy multitasking.

I had some problems installing the cooler ( even re-mounted it cause I was getting bad temps and I'm still getting bad temps so **** off it'll stay like that :P ... maybe I need one more intake fan on the front not sure.)

Other than that installation was fairly easy but the cable management was a pain with this power supply. This is the best I could do. There's some ugly cables hanging there but it's fairly neat imo.

Happy with the build so far but I bought these pieces for a quiet build and it's still not quiet enough for me :P

Extremely happy with the performances and overall quickness of the build.

Haven't tested my gpu much but I'm sure it will handle anything I throw at it.

Sorry for bad pics quality.

You're going to do heavy editing, right? or why choosing a 3770k and 16gigs just for gaming and multitasking? Cool rig BTW(:

Great build, only thing i dont like is the graphics card. An extra $10 buys the Gigabyte windforce with 3 fans. Everything else looks solid though.

For your CPU cooler issues, make sure you use the black U.L.N.A cable on the 140mm fan and the blue U.L.N.A cable on the 120mm fan. You should connect them to the two ends of the y-splitter cable that came with the fan as well and plugs into the CPU_FAN header on your MOBO. If you have already done this and it hasn't helped, remove the blue and black cables from the equation as they undervolt your fans. Hope it helps :)

ok booth ill try that, it will probably be quieter ?

I don't need full fans operations all the time since I did a mild overclock.

Chava: I use a lot of postgresql based softwares and hyper-threading come in handy. As for why the 16g ram, I need to have these programs open all the time:

pokerstars holdemmanager 2 ( need 2gb itself) winamp keepass chrome with 30 tabs ( lollll) skype msn messenger aim

If you take out the U.L.N.A (Ultra Low Noise Adapters) the fans will be a tiny bit louder but it might be the issue with your temps. Also applications like google chrome will eventually stop allocating RAM, they have instructions to only use up X amount of memory arrays, these arrays are predetermined and are controlled by the kernel through IPC managers. Once the RAM limit is reached I believe the kernel will resort to demand paging to not go over the limit.

Great build:) What do you actually do with it?XD
